Liking that ;D - Makes me want to go buy the white number that's sitting on a friends forecourt! Do have the bike engined version already built in my head - the current state of the fleet would mean the end of the weston gene pool ( in a rather painful and rusty manner ) if I bought home another project though

during a very quiet night shift at work I spent a good few hours perusing the readers rides section and it motivated me to get on with the fiat as it only needs 2 bits of welding, painting and putting back together (edit- the sh*t lowering out of it!!). so I got the metal spitting b4stard I refer as a "welder" after several false starts manged to create a rather ugly weld on the 2 1/2 foot long crack in the front end of the car (the panel flanges where welded under neath+ welds dressed and primed after this shot... deffo more to come but its a start as they say.....

Right got of my ass tonight after work and cleaned out the inside flatted and primed the roof and stone chipped the passenger side sill (progress pics tommorow when ive done more), Ill do the other one tommorow but its a chore to take it out of the drive cos I have to push it onto the road....
but question of the night is.......(any help would be good)
I'd like to spray the car myself (I used to restore cars but its been at lest 3 years since I last resprayed one) but I'm sure skills are there...
I have room in the garage as its quite a small car, I'm gonna spray in celly as this is only a temporary paint job as its got to have a few more radical body mods yet but I wanna get it respectable for its mot -so I'm doing it in the original fiat blue.
would it be cheaper to hire/ buy a compressor and do the work my self.. or farm it out to a bodyshop for a quick blow over?

Whereabouts are you? There are people on here with spray gear who may be able to help.

I think I'm gonna give it a go any one know the cheapest place to get a spray rig from?? heres some more pics (25 trim holes in that rear panel alone I welded up, why do fiat put so many screws in to mount the number plate?) back end showing stupidly large tyres (for a 126) to good effect.. need a little more primer on the roof... front end with paint colour experiment.... the last holes....(i hope!!)

thanks guys, appreciate the comments it makes the welding burn in the palm of my hand worth it, the two little holes turned into a foot long plate down the side of the seat runner...
had a look for a compressor today apparently makro do a compressor with a 50 litre tank and a grav gun for £79 do you think this will suffice?

they remain a mystery I'm afraid, they are deffo magnesium as the weigh nothing (you could lift all five when the tyres where off with ease) I got the from a guy on the fiat forum for £60 posted!!
I think they might be some sort of fiat cromadora wheel but as to what I don't really know as there no markings what so ever on the front or back...

right finished welding up the other sill and holes in floor to and primed and stonechipped it (scuffed it putting the front seat in tho ) so its time for paint (woo and yay)- I'm going to buy a spraygun+compressor, along with the paint next week, I have'nt bought paint in ages though does any one have any ideas at to how much paint i will need and what other materials I should buy whilst at the paint supplier (I'd rather only make the trip once.....)
