You've all seen the odd pic of my Metro but now it's time to start a thread on her. Two months ago someone on the Triple-M forum advertised most of their Metro collection for sale. As soon as I seen a pic of her I wanted her straight away. I did'nt have enough money at the time so I asked if the seller could keep her for me. He said yes, and last sunday she finally got delivered! And a big thankyou to 'Thames300e' for doing that. Here's a few pics before I continue. This was the only pic I seen when I bought her! I was going to band the steelies and create a "Slater" style Metro. But if I still decide to do this it won't be yet. (Lack of funds, I want a Nova aswell now lol) Yesterday I bought a set of Cheesegrater alloys for £20 off of 'lordyoung1980'. . I'm just going to give them a little clean and stick them on, hopefully i'll have time to do it on Tuesday, The most recent pictures. And my curse word inspirational photochop!

not usually one for Mettys, but i do like the look of this one, had an mg rotting in my garden for 6/7 years hoping to transplant the engine into my old mini pickup, but the metro got run over with a bulldozer and buried in my field when we had the builders in.

Cool, Ditch the 'welsh' plates and GB badge. Paint the cheese graters back and polish the 'spokes', lets a bit of fluid out and then post some more pics!

What a honey! How are you finding the automatic box? Will it go over 50mph? LOLz! A mate of mine had a metty with the heather mills shift. And a stereo that could only pick up some Bangra station on longwave. He stuffed it into a fence. I suspect it was on purpose so that he could get a car that would go faster than 50 and recieve Chiltern 97.9 THE HOT FM.

Cool, Ditch the 'welsh' plates and GB badge. Paint the cheese graters back and polish the 'spokes', lets a bit of fluid out and then post some more pics! I'm getting some original style plates but they are going to cost me £50. First thing is getting a stereo from my local bargain store. We got one today for one of our other cars. £75 Ministry of sound CD/MP3 with built in MP3 player. So i better get one before they're all gone.

I think they have a different final drive ratio

Rust is lighter than carbon fibre.

I suspect you're right, they will have upped it from the 176/1 'worm drive' effort found in the mini.

its easy mate, the suspension has the same schrader valves as tyres have so you just stick something in the end and radioactive water/alcohol/antifreeze squerts out in your face thus lowering your motor! I wouldnt do it withut havign a pump to pump it back up tho as you will probably get curse word off with it bottoming out all the time and attempting to 'upturn' its self when you turn the steering wheel!
Will look cool tho and that what matters!
