Wow, that's a clean Polo. Personally, I'd go for the Slotmags over the Bear alloys, unless you are a girl.

Cool sleeper project. If you don't use the ronals let me know my other half wants some for her mk2 golf (honest , not really for mine)

Looking good,.. sounds like a nice project! If you wanna keep a real sleeper look then keep the standard steels,.. band them a little wider, but not too much wider to be obvious Then again for true sleeper I'd say no drop just stiffen the suspension right up proper ...

lovely!
I'd go with what Hotwire suggested. Love those Teddy weheels though, but not for a Mk2 I think.
Some WIP photos would be god, showing the fit of the motor and stuff.

190bhp in a Mk2? Brave. I thought 55bhp was enough in mine.

Keep it beige The Ronals while cool would only work if you painted it pink, or got a red polo that has already faded to pink

I bloody love it! Personally I love both the slotmags and the ronal teddys but think the slots would suit it better ... or better still, slightly banded steels as Hotwire suggested. Fantastic looking car though in a perfect colour.

You've been telling me you were a genius since you were seventeen ... in all the time I've known you I still don't know what you mean !

Here's the powertrain spec polo G40 1272cc bottom end (stock internals) metal headgasket (raises compression to 8.3:1) ported and polished head 51mm throttle body Ported to death powder coated inlet manifold (inside and out) b-r-motortechnik chip G60 injectors GT camshaft emtec equal length turbo manifold Water cooled saab T25 with .48 comp and .49 turbine housings custom downpipe supersport 2.5" exhaust system lightweight flywheel Helix paddle clutch rebuilt G40 box with 100% locking LSD uprated driveshaft The car is going to be droped 40mm at the front with coil overs on the rear so i can get the nose down effect for the strip to get as much weight over the front tyres as possible The car in it's standard form weighs in at just 700kg!! Add, say 50kg for wheels, turbo, intercooler and piping etc and it'll weigh 750kg. 190bhp/750kg=253bhp per ton, 7bhp per ton more than a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX FQ340 that has 345 bhp under the bonnet!! Unfortunately i do not have any build pics as my mobile has decided the camera will not work, here's some from a mate mobile

them teddy bear things, I think maybe i've missed something..but I hate 'em Thats kind of the point of them... they are such a ridiculous wheel no "serious" car would have them ,.. which kind of adds to the sleeper thing.. Be interested to see this all complete... looks like its going to be a bit of an animal.

Are you going to upgrade the brakes? I think VW made the original items from a biscuit tin and a couple of jam sandwiches! ;D Ace project, I can't wait to see what this turns out like.
