You've all seen my daily driver, the celica gts. This is my hobby car. A '81 Bluebird. Just got it on the road again after 6 moths of welding, sanding, painting and BHG-ing not finished yet. I have to find some nice rims for it, the logo's must still be glued back in place. Same as the doorstrips. Bone stock, exept for the Nissan S13 struts.

I've seen a bunch of people overhauling a complete wreck in 60 minutes on TV, so why can't I do it in 3 weeks?

*blows dust from this topic* It's lowerd now and had some decent wheels. That's the big update S13 struts at the rear and a cheap ass coilover kit at the front. Soon to be replaced by AE86 loweringsprings. S13 springs are way too wide.

It looks great! Just noticed yesterday that there was one of these at the parking lot at my work, made me think of yours. (You might recall me speaking to you at JCS'06 in 't Harde)
Guess its slightly less obscure here in Finland as they seem to have got the even older Bluebird models as well.

thanks. All I need to do is find some loweringsprings that keep the car at this height, but will actually give the car some springtravel. Chopped coiloversprings is no option. Now I can ajust the springrate by inflating or deflating my tires.
Next week I'll try ae86 lowering springs.

I tried lowering springs from a AE86, Suzuki swift, uncut coiloversprings, and Sunny Coupe. Non of them worked out. So the only thing left was S13 struts, brakes and hubs. The springs fit, but they hit the inside of the struttowers a little while steering. Need to hammer the collisionpoints a little bit out, then it'll be ok, i hope Next week it's the front left strut's turn. I'm missing a few bolt to continue now. But for now:
