Well after the untimely death of my Starlet: I needed a cheap run about so I bought a yellow paper saw a Polo in my home town and went and bought it. Only got one photo of it until tonight when I get in Bit of a rip off to be honest. Paid £250 and got a badly sprayed, petrol leaking. breaking down polo but i loves it!! Mods have started. Borrowed a Set of alleycats of a mate, I've fitted GT seats, removed the rear wiper, stuck on the stickers, sprayed the badges black and of course fitted a rocking 76 ariel topper!! Gunna lower (read slam) it next month.

I like that, reminds me of the one round here. I don't think £250 is too bad.

not bad at all for a run around, that would be some peoples first choice for a cool retro car, i like it! but it just needs to be a bit lower and its ace!

Bit of ancient thread revival here. I still own this car but my uncle has been using it as a run around. Put it in fo an MOT today and apparently "Its a death trap mate", waiting to find out what its failed on then it might be coming back home to decide what its fate is.
Either try to fix it myself and whack an MOT on it or Strip the good bits (brand new exhasut, brand new Petrol tank) and scrap it.

they all leak petrol, the tanks are curse word. Exhaust should be fairly cheap from a fast-fit place. The brakes are a common fail point too, because even at their very very best, the brakes on RHD polos are shockingly bad. So it doesn't take much deterioration to make them dangerously bad.
