	Well, the past two weekends I have been busy getting Claire settled and set up in Oxford, so not much done to or for the car. However, have replaced the radio aireal (spelling?) cannot get the new £1 at bootsale, radio to work, so maybe the bargain was not. Anyhow, bought a set of furry dice air conditioners and also the most Kitchest door protectors, ala 1970's for the car the weekend, and then a pair of Hibiscus print boardshorts........ ARE WE DETECTING A TREND HERE ?? Loads of stuff to be done.... but all in good time.

	Well, got to meet Madmart from this here forum yesterday. He had dug out a 5th rim for me, and some caps , as I still want to make up a nice set, with the VW logo filled in, and smoothed over, possibly with some type of Audi badge on it. I got a price last week for sandblasting wheels and then epoxy/powder coating them..... £65/wheel for blasting, and then £30/wheel to do the powder coating................. People must be doing well, to ask that kind of money. I will be doing it myself. They clearly have no idea that one can buy 15inch G60 brand new in silver or black for arounf £35/each direct from VW dealers. Anyone know of someone who can blast around the Medway/Kent or Croydon area for a lot less ? I will do the spray work myself, just need the old paint and rust sorted quicker than at home. Hope to give the radio-tape player another go at geting it to work this afternoon. Will fit it and then play my I-Pod that the company gave me as a Christmas prezzie last year through it.

	There's a place on Sheppey which blasted my wheels for a £10 for all 4, think they are in Queensborough but could be wrong. Also theres a place in Rainham that do it for about £40 for all four can't remember any names here but gives you hope. Better off buying new from VW (did i just say that out loud )

	Thanks Adam, I will take a look around when I am back on Terra Firma again. I will go as high as 10Quid per wheel if need be, for a decent all round job, and then do all the painting and prep myself. Rainham and Sheppey is good for me.

I went and saw them last year and they wanted £40 per wheel to do my Porsche Cookies. That was to repaint the centres and polish the lip. Fair price I'd say. Rian, if you've got one of the wheels spare give it to me and I'll pop down there with it and get a price for you.

Will make contact, come to see you with a wheel, the next few days, or over the weekend. Also thinking of selling the 5 wheels on again, as I am thinking in a different direction currently.

	True..... Was trying to get the £1 at Bootfair radio to work yesterday, found one chanel, or one speaker was dead, so started interchanging to "Troubleshoot" to get to the root of problem, at about try 3 a mate called me on the mobile, so I chatted to him for a bit...... picked up the power leads and touched the battery terminals as I had up to that point....... Kzzzzzt..! Wrong way around. Radio now destined to be landfill, will check little auxillary speakers later to see if they survived. Off to breakers later to see for another cheapy to fit...... It is for playing the I-Pod through, so just needs decent output and a digital radion tuner. Car should get a wash and polish through the day too.

	OK, so due to a change of plans...... I have 5 of these wheels with tyres which were meant to go onto the car and also be the spare I have now decided on a different route of attack I'm my modding plan. So the 5 will be on the for sale board. This was the look I was looking for...... (not happening now)
