Thats a nice looking mini, but I woudl go with a set of narrpwer Gr2 arches as you might start using a few wheelbearings if you whack too big a set of spcers on there. Those arches are really to cover 6.5-7"+ wheels

I've heard its not so bad with 10" wheels as long as you only go for 1" spacers.
Although small arches might be better.

Right, a quick update on this ;D I've started rewiring the spotlights/fog lights on the front. Just need to put the switches in now. The reason I haven't put them in yet is I'm going to stripping all the original didgy wiring out and taking the wooden dashboard out just keeping the central speedo and a new tacho, which arrived with my friend from Texas today ;D ;D ;D Got some new badges too. Taking the Mk2 Cooper ones off and putting Mk3 Cooper ones on insted. Got a few other things, but I will put them up as and when

id stay well clear of any spacers at all, they wear out the suspension components. get narrower arches for 30 quid, ud pay that for spacers probably. what arches are on there now, i might be needing some wider ones soon

Yea, gone away from the spacer idea now and looking at some smaller arches.
They are GRP5 ones. Looking at getting GRP2.

Just got back from the garage where I had the brakes looked at: Laughed my ass outta the garage!

70 odd quid for a rear brake cylinder?? i paid a fiver for mine,
good job the total hasnt been filled in, i take it that they were messing about then

Nope, they were deadly seroius! They didn't fill it in because they said they would ONLY charge me £350 if I wanted it all doing! Still laughing about it now. I think there thoughts were 'Enthusiast, lets bump the price up!' [edit] I've just worked it out, for all the bits from MiniSport I'm looking at about £40

I'm not a fan of minisport, i just get stuff from minispares, well i get my local garage to get me stuff from minispares as they send a van up to harrogate every week for mini bits, its mini specialist garage. very convinient (sp?)

Not too keen on MiniSport myself to be honest, but there website is a bit better layed out and easier to read than MiniSpares.
I always go to MiniSpares though because there is one quite local to me.
