Well this is only my second readers ride thread ever hopefully this one will have a happier ending
Ever since having a drive of a rather dilapidated Charade GTti the turbo bug has bitten hard. I knew I really wanted a turbo car but the choice of what really baffled and irritated me. Stuff like RS turbo's were out because of high insurance premiums (I'm 20). Uno Turbos and Renault 5's were out because of Un-reliability.
I really wanted a Charade and Set out to find one. However finding a good one seemed difficult. It was at this point when Starlet GT turbo's were Suggested.
I had discounted these on the basis of them all bein imports and therefore the insurance would make them unattainable, however quick search on some insurance sites brought up some really good prices. I immediately went on Ebay and had a look what was going. This one caught my eye and after some bidding I won it.
Guy I bought it from was really reasonable. He told me to come down and see it and check it over before I paid him any money and he sent me a load of pictures of the dents etc.
So I took an early finish on Friday and we all loaded into my dads car and headed for Huddersfield. After getting lost repeatedly (my dad refused to bring the TomTom ) we eventually got the the Guy's house and I instantly knew I was taking it with me. Quick ring to the insurance company, quick check over of the car and we were on our way.
