Wish mine was black *sulky face* I think I'm off my rocker too. In fact, so does everyone I've mentioned it too! Cheers for the offer of help. Think I'm gonna need it! Always liked the 2-door 99 and always fancied one, but it had to be a Turbo. Especially after driving a 900 T. Think it'll be the first FWD car I actually like!

Yeah black 2 doors are mega rare. Only 200 RHD built, and most scrapped now Same with black 3 doors, 1,100 built, but they did something very wrong with the rustproofing so most have vanished. Red 2 doors are the most common, but even they are few and far between!

My old man had a N/A 99 when it was 3yrs old (Still remember the full reg and he got it when I was 6!) Been on my "will own one day" list for ages. ;D Added more pics so you don't have to fanny around with the e-bay link...

I love 70s performance versions of family cars like 131, Dolly, RS2000,...and the 99 Turbo. It just looks sort of planted.
The missus had a 2000 93 Turbo (150bhp) as a company car for 3 years with a petrol card so it was pedal to the metal all the time and sod the fuel consumption! ;D
V sorry to say goodbye but a change of job saw it replaced with Passat TDi 130 which incidentally had better torque but slower outright pace. Couldn't argue with 50mpg combined with sub 10 second 0-60 and 130mph top end!

Really nice . I'd quite fancy one of these if I wasn't stuck in a BMC/BL shaped rut!
