I'd be inclined to ignore Max Power. At the end of the day if you write in they'll only print your letter and take the curse word with some clever remarks. Seen it before with vehicles that aren't their normal choice. That Steve is a friend of mine actually Johnny - and coincidentally is nearly finished on a Honda Civic 4WD floorpan swap on a 55 Minor! I did have several pictures...but I've managed to lose them! Cool, say hello if you see him. I'd just got the Anglia when I last saw him, Hughes is the surname! And be sure to find those pics!

There's some pretty serious machinery lurking in the background of those photos. Mustang, 914, Mini p/u, Midget, Herald limo project , Nova, Mini, Spitfire. How many did I get? Monte Carlo, Herald Coupe, Dino replica, Suzuki SJ. Love the Minor.

Pretty close Its a stag, not a spit, and I think that was a big Caddy but not sure (I'm sure there are people on here that could identify it ) There were 25 more cars in their indoor shed round the back, 4 more in the dip area, and an original GT40 valued at £1.5 mill in the tank

You sir..... are a freakin magician !!!!! That is simply unbelievable. I am new to this board and only just learnt of your project by reading the whole post and looking at the pictures. It blows me away that someone can look at a Minor and an S13 and think...... hmmmm....... I reckon I can smoosh them together. Holy curse word. very very impressive.

...respect, that´s one hell of a project you´ve got there.
When you´re finished is it a modified Nissan or Minor?
I saw you want it to be street legal...do you see any problems getting it through a MOT?(over here in Germany they´d lock you up for even thinking about it!!)

Good progress.
Out of interest, how much does acid dipping cost? Was thinking this might be the easiest option for mine. I think you can also get them galvanised afterwards too can't you?

We're very lucky in the UK in that you can put almost any old piece of junk on the road Saying that, I am trying to do mine properly so its not a death trap. The acid dip varies in price according to the size of the car. Mine snuck in to the smallest category and was £595 plus VAT. Not the cheapest option, but has the advantage that all the rust is removed. You can then have is electrophortically coated at the same place. This is also a dip process, so it gets in all the box sections and seams. That would be £795+VAT for mine. There are some complications though. Any closed boxes or tubes need holes drilling in them to allow the acid to be flushed out afterwards. That means cars with roll cages or built on tube frames are difficult, and require lots of holes to be drilled. If I were re-building a car for the road I would seriously consider the e-coat. Quite expensive, but excellent protection. But for the kind of use mine will get (its not going to be a winter car) I've decided I can't justify the cost, so will just be painting it, and spraying wax inside the boxes an chassis rails.
