not sure what happened to the windscreen we came out one moring before we started the resto to find it that way... i have bought a full set of glass just incase we brake anymore while we are repairing it.
I bought all the repair panels at the same time but i think we paid £60 each .. for the channel and closing plate.

pretty much dude... Repair panels for pretty much any known 'problem' area are available, as are brand new panels, enough to make a complete car from pretty much... you used to be able to by mexican shells brand new too..... very much 'Trigger's Broom' |

What are you doing paint wise??
not meaning to p*ss on your chips, but something worries me. That fuel cap looks fairly forward along that front quarter - are you sure you can get a fuel pump nozzle in once the wings on? I cant remember if due to the angles etc you might be able to get it in sideways if needed either (ooooh eerrrr)
it would be a p*sser if you got it finished and couldnt fill her up! ;D

Hey Keef.... Hmm... will have to check the fuel filler location.... definitely don't wanna have to faff about filling it up! haha! As for paint - for the moment, the budget (or lack thereof) will dictate the paint job, and it'll probably be hammerite'd or similar, it HAS to be blue apparently (other than that, I have carte blanche to do as I please!) Although, I had thought about RAF Blue... and Rob then said maybe decal it up as a Plane, RAF Roundel etc... But longer term, it will get a lovely nice few coats of paint haven't exactly decided on a shade though. |
