eek no way. thatd be crazy, it already goes like stink i think its pretty spot on as it is, if anything i'd change back to a 3.9 for slightly longer legs.
i had a 3.46:1 in my old e30 now that sucked totally ruined the car
glad you approve:)

that was up at teeside kart track middlesborough type area.
that was a competition you need a license to do that and it was £80. but the night before there was a practice session on the othe rpart of the track from 5.30pm til 11pm £40 best nights drifting ever. was wet which normally i don't like but there was so much tracktime (11cars out drifting at once ) that if it had been dry i would have annhialated all my tyres too quickly.
there are practice days held at a flat tarmac section/paddock area at silverstone think they are £80. its just around some cones but its a great learning environment. they hold driftschools too but i really don't think theyare worth the money. about £150 and get to drive their cars but you are far better off using your own car and not bothering with the drift school and just getting to grips with it yourself.
teeside is by far the best track ive drifted on, cheap, good fun.. only downside is it is 170miles from my house.. doh.

wooo solid diff mount bush made and installed today. didnt get to see how different it feels as about 5minutes after setting off on a test drive i split a water hose. boo steam everywhere which naturally i thought was fire so yeh could have been worse.
now going to extend my handbrake handle as i am too lazy to make up a hydraulic handbrake for it.
might swap on the old rear end off the old car with polybushes on already and disc brakes only problem is i left it out in the rain in my garden for quite some time and I'm sure the calipers and discs cant be in too great condition.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

update i guess..
after putting the car on axle stands and then being away in europe or just not at home, i finally decided i should do something,
it was up on axle stands because the drum braked subframe with rubber bushes had disintegrated.
first problems were curse word rusty brake lines.. after umming and ahhing and wanting to undo brake lines carefully to reuse them...i tried a few times to undo the unions.. then i cut the brake lines off.
after unsuccessfully trying to take the front of the drum off to disconnect the handbrake cables.. i then mullered through them with my trusty angle grinder.
progress has now stopped as i now realise my polybushed disc brake subframe is missing some metal collar/sleeve that goes over the main beam polybush. i have no idea if this comes with the polybushes or its just something i have lost off the car.. also the rear brakes and calipers resemble a solid lump of orangebrownrust.
I'm also going to seam weld one of the rear bits of the car where the diff attaches, I'm sure with violent drifting, a solid diff mount and general shabbyness of the car it is due to snap and seperate from the car so a bit of pre-emptive action cant hurt.
tomorrow i'm also cutting out the spare wheel well. saves a bit of wait. and pisses me off less when i have to go under the car. shame i'll lose spare wheel storage but I'm sure i can live with it.
sanded down a bonnet to bare metal today. leaving it outside covered in salt water to see the results. don't know why i did this, i think boredom and being trigger happer with my grinder is the main culprit.
raised my bucket seat to a less curse word driving position. before it was at max on the curse word driving position scale. its now down to a mere 4.
its dark and cold so no photos . what a curse word update.

keep up the good work, e30's will one day rule the world i know it! from what my good man dave says, use loads bmw z3 bits al other for good rear end action, and put excentric m3 wishbone bush's on front.

you don't need guts or experience just get an old battle wagon with loads of dents in it and go practice down some back lanes, hedges are soft and springy!!!!!!!

well sanding the bonnet down, so far has turned out fairly well, will leave it some more with some more water to continue the gay artificial ageing process.
cut out the spare wheel well. that sucked. gone now though.
started removing underseal with a psychotic wire wheel aswell need to seamweld some weak points underneath. really need to invest in a light as i can see sweet FA underneath
