hi all this is another marina of mine; A couple of people have said it could be a ex rac one any ideas? Its had a beacon fitted in the past also has been sign written several times so far Ive been able to make out it belonged to a garage as there recovery/service vehicle. Heres some more pics of its present condition if its a ex rac one i think ill do it in its original livery

My dad had an Ital van from brand new. I literally wet my pants when he bought it home for the first time (I was 3) I really love em! Marinas and Itals are really underrated. Best of luck with it. Hope its not too rotten!
There was a brand new ital van shell on ebay a few months ago, it failed to sell at £900

Wow another one. I love Marinas and that is 'the shizz', looking all unloved n stuff even with its metal wheel trims, safe in the knowledge it will get a second chance. If you have a stock check and decide you have too many marinas i'd offer what i can afford to take this one on.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

how hard is it to source panels for these??
if it were mine id paint it a 70's shade of orange and put satin black stripes across the bonnet and down the sides with marina written across em. love the front ends on these, remind me of a gto

Gotta be period stylee, cant remember what thats like. I quite like its builders hack look, but if its done owt like the gas van its a winner!

WTF! Wedgeman you are the king of Marina Van 1980's service industry cool.
Madmart, yours is very cool too. The chrome bumpers and bonnet badge are fantastic. I love those early Marina vans, the shonkier-looking the better. I'd love to get at yours with my mig welder. I once bought a Marina van for £20, the front was all stuffed in because the brakes had given way! I ragged it round the field a bit then scrapped it. WHere did you find yours?
Why don't you write to DVLA asking for owner history of it? They defo used to supply this info on request, that would soon tell you if it belonged to the RAC.
