First one is looking stylish, be a surprise with a crazy lump in, neat plan.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Cheers people, yeah the G40 should give it a good suprise factor.
Gonna GT the green one before I do that though...
Not really sure on the 14s. Cant help but think they look a bit big, and the 13s in the first set of pics look better...
Mr_bollox. That video in your sig is hilarious. Saw that video a little while ago, kept intending to find it for novelty value, but you done the job for me.

Mmmmm...very nice! Why don't you put the g40 lump in the other one and leave the wheeltrims, etc on it for a proper granny spec sleeper

Wow the silver one looks great - what wheels are they? Did you have the exhaust made or did you buy it off the shelf?

Most of the cars on Readers Rides I like. Some for the details, some for the engineering, some for other reasons. I'd love to have the time to drop a comment on all of them, but I'd never finish my own car But your '85 is stunning. The model, the stance, the colour, the wheels. It works. A definitive lesson in less-is-more IMHO I doff my cap to you. Superb

id had completely forgotten about polos with boots. they look really well with the mk1 jetta treatment. the silver one would benefit from colour coded arch imo
both are great though

Thanks for the comments everyone.
A GT is going in the green one, the silver one is tidier, so want to put it in that. Plus if I want it to be a bit of a sleeper, just got to change the wheels.
Wheels are melbers, and the exhaust is completley custom. Straight through g40 bore pipe to a single box and that tailpipe. Will be going on my green one when the GT lump goes in next week. Currently -80mm'ing the green one. Will post some pics when its done.
The stance is ok on the silver one, I think it needs some spacers on the rear, and another 10/20mm on the front to get it spot on. Getting some coilovers made up by Gaz shocks, that'll sort it out. ;D
