This week I took time off to MOT the Datsun 910 Bluebird SSS Coupe. A failure on Monday included a broken front number plate, split steering gaitor which I was going to replace myself but let the garage do as they're better at that sort of thing and it probably would have taken me all week. Also had a beam issue with one light that turned out to be a dodgy bulb. Thanks to Will of the Datsun Owners Club for the advice and the replacement steering gaitor. Once it was MOTd and taxed it had to go on a tour of south London with the stereo blaring old funk records and my arm hanging out the window ghetto stylee. Summer's here. It had to be done. The only issue I have had is grounding it on several speed humps in Clapham and on my road. In Peckham: In Surbiton watched over by the M&S angel: Surbiton high street, outside the bakers: At the cemetary in Surbiton (I get around!): The reason the stereo scares old ladies: Drivers view: Back streets of Surbiton: Off to the Dog and Vomit in Dulwich today. I love summer! Charlie

Deffo looks better on the new wheels, not so sure on the cannon sticking out the rear though - i rekon a side exit exhaust would look good as there isnt a cut out in the rear valance for the exhaust, or even a hidden one behind the valence . Nice car though .

Thanks. I like the cannon now - that and the black back lights. There's no room for a side exit exhaust between the speed humps and the underside of the car.

Noice car and wheels! Do those mirrors 'work', as in can you see enough while they're way out there, up front? Been looking at similar mirrors but a bit worried about the rear-vision-thingy.

The mirrors are curse word. You can't see anything. Even when they are adjusted just right they give you such narrow field of vision that I have nearly broadsided five cars, three bikes, a moped or two and even a double decker bus.
It has three inch shorter springs on it but the skinny tyres take off another couple so I guess it is five inches nearer the ground.

this: ....is a great pic. I wouldn't like it half as much if the Biffa dustbin wasn't in it though. Excellent work!

Thanks Mr B. I agree, the Biffa adds a certain je ne sais quoi to it.
