How it all started, a £250 panel van that had been sitting in a garden for 2 years: it was supposed to be done and on the road in a couple of months for a grand total of £500 , but then perusing fleabay I bought these, and the budget went off the tracks a bit…: having got some nice rims I started poking at the rest of the van, to see what state it was actually in: having been sat next to a hedge for 2 years took its toll on the sliding door runner: while pondering what to do about the rotten metal, I took a day out to get the wheels prepped up, and sent them with my mate to college to spray them up nice and shiny : still stuck trying to find a donor van to chop up to save the door runner, the drivers side was attacked and made good: apart from the fuel filler, as the replacement arches I got were curse word and not worth putting on: back to the passenger side, the offending rot around the runner was chopped away with the aid of Mr. Plasma cutter, who did a nice job of making life easy, after the hell of 5 cutting discs and a grinder in the scrappy removing the donor section: the donor van also gave up its windscreen, and some bits of screen surround: after more fleabay perusals, this turned up, and the large spindly bus wheel that was in was consigned to the scrap pile: a clearing out of my shed dug out these seats I had aimed to fit to my bug, but never got round to, so they made their way into the cockpit too:

then it was back to my friend who took it to college and applied the topcoats: so, all painted up it was off to Big Bang 2005, although we got 40 miles and the engine expired in a big cloud of steam, : and as it is at the mo: Mike

Brilliant, what a rescue for a dog earred old bus!! Love the fuel filler idea, gives it much cleaner lines. The rims look great to, some Merc rims look gash on T25's but those look real sweet! Top bombing! Any pics of the Mazda B1800??

I've seen pictures of this on that 'what music are you listening to & colour socks are you wearing' forum Definately one of my favourite T25s with its simple, clean & classy looks it stands out amongst some of the 'Tacky' wedge VW vans out there. I didn't realise how much work you had put into it to make it look as good as it does - excellent stuff! Looking forward to seeing engine conversion pics - have you fitted something non-standard for a T25?

Hi Dave Guz is right, these pics are a bit old! thought i'd best get it posted up in order to prompt myself to do something to it though! The injection system packed up on the way back from the Fl4tlanders Beach BBQ last year, and its sat since the tax ran out waiting for me to do something to it since the apathy set in! Currently its awaiting a carb to get rid of the KE Motronic system thats on it, as i don't think we've ever managed to get it to run right, i think the ecu just ran it in 'safe mode'. Engine isnt anything new T25 wise, its a 2.0 out a 1990 Audi 80 Sport, mated to a 1.6 td gearbox. When it was running it goes well!

Thanks for all the kind words folks, and, for the first time in 11 months, its had some work done on it!! this is how the engine bay looked after we'd fitted the audi engine running injection: and this is all the grief giving injection removed: resting in its place is now a chopped and welded k-jet injection manifold with a 32/36 weber carb sitting atop it, and the distributor is now the one from my old mk2 golf driver. My friend Bobsy has been working his wiring magic, and tonight we managed to get it turning over and sparking again! the fuel pump was running, so we thought we'd go for a test run........ then the starter motor packed up. so, i'm going to get a new one ordered tomorrow, and hopefully the end of the week should see the old girl up and running again. i'll post some pics of the carb conversion when we get it going ad the engine bay is a bit tidier

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

IT RUNS!!!! ;D i left work early today to nip to lincoln to pick up a new starter motor, got it fitted, set the timing and tried to turn it over. lots of spluttering and flames out the carb later, we finally got it timed up ok, by swapping various plug leads and spinning the dizzy drive 180 degrees, so we could get the right amount of advance, iand it burst into life! sounds lovely, and i'm well chuffed here's some pics of the carb conversion, sorry about the quality, i tried taking them on my phone as i'd left my camera at home... across engine bay shot: close up: close up with filter fitted: across engine bay with filter fitted: Just got to bleed the clutch slave cylinder up now, wire up the autochoke and tacho, fit the aux water pump, and take it for an MOT Mike
