It's been ages since I updated this thread, since I got the Manta I've now put an SEH in it. . I had to put a swirl pot in as it's the carb tank still, even with 20 litres left you can hear the low pressure pump running dry when you give it some round a roundabout as all the fuel sloshes away in the tank. There's an electric fan now too, and I managed to get the ECU in the drivers footwell to with only minimal lengthening of the loom. The only bit of the conversion I'm not too happy with is I used a spare 1.8 manta clutch I had knocking about which is struggling with the extra power and has started slipping. On the outside it's much the same really, rusty as f***. I never got round to ankor waxing it so it's been au naturel all winter. This summer it should be going off for a respray though, probably in commercial white as suggested or maybe the original polar white depending on costs. Pretty happy with it really, just waiting on some -40 springs and adjustable avos from TJM, then it needs some new tyres to replace the nasty perished things on there.

All of the connections are done on the under bonnet side of the gromet apart from the fuel pump, which I bought back through the grommet to the pump mounted on my NS wing. I'll check in the morning all the other connections I did, but it was much fewer than I expected. The only annoying thing was I had to lengthen the wires to the AFM and coil in order to get the grommet to reach the bulk head. Not the end of the world though.

That they do. I've been looking at Pontiac Sunbird turbo manifolds on ebay lately, the SEH is really the wrong engine to start with though, the compression ratio seems a bit high for FI. Only £395 for forged pistons to drop the compression ratio to 8.8:1 though. Then a new ECU, map sensor and a T25 turbo. Then loads of plumbing. Maybe I should just stay in the real world .

Pretty sure that's right, I'm at work at the moment though, I'll check for you tomorrow afternoon. There's a few wires which have different connectors on the manta than the cav, eg the alternator an oil pressure gauge. Just needed a spade connector crimping on the end in place of the ring.

Right, just been and checked, you're right basicly . The only oddity I could see was that I've used the cav coil, so that uses the original plug. Then there's green plug emerges from the loom near that with a green wire on it that I've soldered to the manta tach wire which used to be connected to the manta coil. This way it keeps the joins nice and waterproof using the original cav plugs. Everything else was pretty self explanatory really. Let me know if you need more detail on anything.
