Joined up the other day after lurking for a while (my brother joined up last year because someone put a flyer on his Volvo at Retro cars show but does not have much time to play on the net) and thought it about time to show you my car, it is as the title says a 1989 Golf gti 16v which is pretty much stock. The few mods done so far are a mild lowering, a full stainless exhaust and a ITG panel filter. My plans for the car are to keep it pretty much as it is exterior wise but beef it up in the engine department with the help of either a supercharger or a turbo. Any comments welcome.

get it lower looking good there, nice to see some subtlety instead of going euro. keep it stock and slam it till it cries It's also nice to see one that's not Oak Green! i hear Eaton chargers are cheap on the bay....?

Niice, typical dub, low...but not slow.
The top photo looks like the tax disc is stuck on your head!
I'm guessing that that is royal blue metallic, I used to have one that colour, really nice colour, so understated.

Hi thanks for the comments so far keep them coming. The colour of the car is a non metallic dark blue which i believe is called blue/black, its possibly the rarest colour they came in,i know i haven' seen many others (3 in the last 2 years).
I have an Eaton charger from a mini at home I also have a t3 laying in the garage so need to make my mind up which to use, I'm leaning towards the supercharger at the minute because I like the lazy way that power is produced.
You may be joking?? But thats part of my master plan just need to dig up all the local speed bumps and i will be laughing ;D

My brothers Volvo was the red 340 which since then has been lowered a little and is now running on Renault 19 rims.

After recently destroying one of my wheels by hitting a brick I was forced to buy a new set, my main problem was too much choice so in the end i went with something that has been done 1000 times before, Mostly because it has been done a 1000 times before and all those people can't be wrong? Before Brick After Brick I think the brick did me a favour!

wow check my super speedy replying skills . Thanks for the comments. After having the wheels on the car for just over a week i get less and less sure by the day that the brick did me a favour, The wheels look great but they are such an to keep clean, supose practise makes perfect. tis very possible but only if i won otherwise it was another guy with a similar motor LOL.
