1 previous owner, 8000miles from new, standing 14 years. it took a few months to get it ready for the mot, nothing major, two small patches of welding on the bottom of the front wings where they cover the end of the sill. full exhaust. 4 new tyres. ive now done 1000miles(500miles in less than 24 hours, same week it was put on the road) in it with only a few problems, leaking heater control valve, sticking handbrake cable, leaking carb. Thanks for looking, Paul

ive done a few mods and have lots planned, mainly to make it handle better, stop quicker and go faster. the niva in the background was my first car when i was 18, almost 3 years ago. its a bare shell now waiting to be rebuilt. i will post some more picture of the modifications as i do them. Thanks for all the positive comments, Paul

Top resurrecting there chap!
Are they the standard wheels? They look a bit tall...and dare I say, Alfa-like. I must confess I think I liked it better when it was less red and more dusty! ;D

hi, the wheels are mk1 punto, 14x5j. i do wish i had left is as dirty as possible to at to the "is that nail road leagal" effect. i washed it in a moment of madness thinking i would find the time to respray it.

ive been revving the 1200 engine to 7500rpm with standard everthing. i have been given a 1300 ex rally car engine which I'm going to have bored out to 1400cc, but first I'm going to tune the 1200 to rev as high as possible, with a steel flywheel i think 9k is realistic.

The car in the background is my Lada Niva, in a drunken state, 4"brush and a tin of red oxide restyled it to look like a hot rod, it was a good idea at the time.
I'm going to the Czech Republic in the lada in just over 2 weeks time. ive got to fit a taller diff, decoke and re-ring the engine before i go. The reason for going is the "Internation Lada Meeting" sounds great, the drive there will take me past the Nurburgring, i may have to stop for a lap or four.

That is totally classic! Would that be called a mk1 Riva? or is there an earlier example? I saw one just like this in blue when I was in Moscow and I loved it, but didnt have my camera to get a picture. Top stuff, good luck with it!
