Update in italics
- Fit last Dellorto Throttle lever (when it arrives from Italy via UPS) - Arrived
- Fit 3 x equal length rods for upper lever on pivot bar that are in post from birmingham - the kit I bought caters nicely for twin carbs 2 of most rods and 4 of one of them - sods law the one with four I need Six!) - On route
- Drill and tap the pivot bar for the three lever pivots - in progress
- Drill and tap the pivot bar for the throttle linkage pick up - in progress
- Drill the pivot bar for retainer R Clips - in progress
- Shorten it to the correct length - in progress
- Fit and locate 3 x additional return springs (also with Dellorto lever from Italy) - Arrived - Find 2.6 Carlton throttle cable - Original one is too short (on the case but NLS so the throw cash at it option and buy a new one ain't the easy fix) - Fly in ointment
- Make bracket to hold cable to rocker cover (that will be "heath robinson" to start with till I find an asthetic solution)
- Make gaskets for manifold to head x 4 (Got gasket paper and scalpel) - Gaskets made
So still some things to do but at least progress is being made

Ian,
That is quite incredible to say the least!! Fine bit of engineering!! If I had a hat on it'd be doffed in your general direction!
Is it all gonna fit under the bonnet though? ;D

Is it all gonna fit under the bonnet though? ;D If it doesn't I can cut a hole ;D In fact I might cut a hole anyway It should be fine as you will know that the inlet manifold goes over the rocker cover on a 24V and that fits fine in a Monza

What springs are you looking for? There is a place in Nottingham that has a reasonable stock on the shelf of compression / tension / torsion that are normally available for pennies and you can bend the ends if torsion with pliers...
Company is Kato - Entex: (0)115 9293931 and speak to Jeff Poole (Sales) or Dave (Technical) and they should be able to sort you out.

Well this evening the bay looks like this ;D Actualy it looks a bit better than that cos the fuel pressure regulators are in and piped up to the carbs Bad news is what I feared might happen - the Motronic ECU has detected something ain't quite as it should be and shut down the fuel pump - so for the rest of the night I will be mainly looking at wiring diagrams and trying to see exactly what I need to frig/hotwire to make it thing stuff that isn't there still is That washer bottle has got to be moved or I've got to block up the level sensor that isn't used anyway to make some space for the filters on that carb

I'll get it sorted but I might have to wait for my "wiring diagram expert" to return from Italy where he's working this week I'd like to hope I can sort it myself but if I can't he'll spend 30 secs looking at the diagrams and go put a wire from X to Y and it'll work - and it will too (smart chap he is)

Looking great BC! Can't wait to hear it ;D LOL - I can't either ;D Had some discussion elsewhere and the concensous of opinion is the std ECU might have some problems with lack of throttle position switch, Airflow meter and injectors in circuit - meh - where there is a will there is a way (Will in this case being someone I know who is quite good at re-writing ECU code)

Gaujus Ian!!!
Couldn't you just hardwire the fuel pump and unplug the ECU?
I realise this would cause issues with ignition advance/retard but surely a man of your talents should be able to frig something together using Royale dizzy, a couple of toilet roll tubes and a pair of Val's old knickers!

Gaujus Ian!!! Couldn't you just hardwire the fuel pump and unplug the ECU? If I do that I'd be cheating and I'm not to keen on losing the "have an accident engine stops so fuel pump does too" control circuit I realise this would cause issues with ignition advance/retard but surely a man of your talents should be able to frig something together using Royale dizzy, a couple of toilet roll tubes and a pair of Val's old knickers! And lose the knock sensor control and ign maps that have been well fettled over time - not keen to be honest Chopping off the original dizzy head and welding on an early Monza one with advance and retard weights was considered as much of a backwards move as putting carbs on a car which has fuel injection as std Nah I'll work it out - bit more head scratching and studying "tube maps" required
