yeah, i reckon so too!
Better than having the usual saxo/corsa/punto sooped up cr*p any day of the week, and provides a few embaressments to said "boy racers" on twisties!
Never underestimate the power of a retro!

Oooh Yes!
It was always gonna be a retro ride for me (although was thinking corrado or rover 200 brm briefly) My shortlist was as follows:
Mk1 golf gti (got it!) Triumph Vitesse convertible Triumph Dolomite sprint Triumph gt6/spitty Reliant Scimitar Mk1 escort
but after looking around etc, was the golf that got it!

I've found the illusive GTi owner I see every morning then.........

I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people I don't like.

to true hotwire, its the only way i can afford a car, let alone a decent one! works out £1100 cheaper this way, and its not illegal, so why not?
I guess i suffer in the long run with no no claims bonus, but, when I'm full time earning i can afford it!
iRocco.....Have u seen that green mk1 golf on the same run, and i do believe there is another 'rocco all coming ur way and a south african citi golf!
I use your car and some others to judge whether I'm on time, late or early! haha!
;D
