I take it that it's 100% her fault, and that you can prove it? If so, then it's also 100% her problem - I'd be very wary about not going through the insurers - if you don't, then make sure that you get the cash in advance asap!
Above all, make sure that the bodyshop is capable of doing a proper (and preferably undetectable) repair, & don't just go with the cheapest quote because it's the cheapest etc (it's her problem if it costs more to be fixed properly)!
