Mk4 escort Van
All Sierra XR4x4 Running gear, Turbo Technics 2.8 (single turbo) V6 Cologne, engine.(granada cosworth pistons, sodium filled exhaust valves), lightened 2.8 flywheel, MT75 gearbox.Power steering
Shell was converted years ago by a guy who supposidly built rally cars, nicely done conversion.
Would be ideal shell for a Cosworth 4x4 conversion if the Cologne is not your cup of tea.
Excellent rust free shell (was built on a new shell and Ziebarted(sp?) everywhere up to the door bottoms inside and out.
recent new parts...
Swirlpot
Redtop Facet
Cosworth Clutch
Front and Rear Discs and pads
4x Yokohama 195/14 (A539 I think)
Master cylinder
Handbrake Cable
Front prop UJs
TCA bushes(inner and outer)
Bad bits....
drivers side front wing damaged, does not in any way make the car undrivable and would not fail an M.O.T.
Bonnet and rear doors untidy
Bits need doing..
Facet is mounted under the floor and is noisy as f***, could do with isolating or moving!
Front brake pipes,
Exhaust from bottom of downpipe back.
General tidy up (carpets,etc)
Paint needs mopping as all dull (all 2 pack)
Front wing if that bothers you
Bonnet and rear doors need changing(or leaving alone if your going for the builders van look) and painting (I have a pair of excellent rear doors in white)
Excellent rust free rear doors as spares, no rust but white so would need painting
I bought this car as a winter project last year, got it up and running on the standard Cologne, which turned out to be knackered, bought the Turbo engine and have half heartidly fiddled since then! Unfortunately cars are just not my thing anymore, I begrudge spending my scarce freetime out in the garage, and have decided to have a clear out.
This would genuinely make a nice van when finished but I have just not got any enthusiasm anymore.
Spare 88 XR4x4 Rear LSD, pair front shafts, pair complete front uprights/brakes/shafts
Open to sensible offers? Just as a guide .. I paid £1000 for the van originaly as a non running project, £750 for the TT engine and probably another £2000 in odds and sods since...not looking to get anywhere near that back! but i wont take a 3 figure offer.
If you are "genuinely" interested and want to talk then please call me on 07811 455225
Thanks
