Unfortunately no picture....but I seem to remember a good while bak. Prolly around the time I joined up there was somebody (Bryn???) had bought a set of 17" Peugoet 407(  ) steels that happen to be the Same PCD and was going to get them banded. Now IIRC they couldn't find anyone to do it or something similar and it never got done. Now couple of years on and with a reliable source of bandeds is this gunna get done? Volvo 240 on Banded 17" steels would look ace!! |

Well remembered, they got done. 17x8 front and 17x9.5 on the back  The front two have been on the rear for the last six months, the rears have been in the garage as they leaked like my wallet at a womens institute cake stall. I used body sealant on the welds, but they were just so badly welded it wouldn't hold. Adam, if you get a chance can you PM details of where I can source the stuff you used? It's got to be worth a try or they're just going to get binned. Nobody who's currently banding wheels can get a 17in rim on their lathes, hence my conumdrum. |
