	Saturday was the Essen Motor Show: forum.retro-rides.org/thread/228054/essen-motor-show Today? Today I had to be back home by 2, which ruled out heading back for another skulk round, hoovering up stickers, posters, and Haribo. Time to admire Germany's steadfast (and understandable) refusal to give up pump clickers: And head twenty minutes south. I haven't been to the Remise for a while. Yep, worth it. If I'd've had more time, I'd've pointed the GTI another fifteen minutes or so south and had a mooch around Motorworld Köln. Next time.

	Was saying just today that i haven't been to Classic Remise for a while. Might pop up at the weekend! Motorworld is also ok but doesn't compare to Classic Remise in my opinion.

	I'll share mine here too. Our flight back from Dusseldorf was at 4-ish in the afternoon, so we decided to aim to have lunch at Classic Remise then make our way to the airport. I popped in to Essen Motorshow at 8am to mop up some photos as I'd found a few things I wasn't happy with from the day before. I was on the way back out of the show by 9:15 a little bit of breakfast (apparently coffee is not a strong point for Germany according to Henry that I was with), and then we were on our way to Classic Remise, for a mooch around and then some lunch. The building is an old train shunting yard type thing and is really cool in its own right. It is a combo of car storage, workshops and dealers. Sort of like Bicester, but all under one roof. Alot of the stuff floating around is crazy rare. This Pegaso by the entrance is just a small taste of the goodness to come Some more from the bit that surrounds the main open area: Was rather partial to this: And this: next up (a wee bit later) is the dealers and stuff 'inside', and maybe a picture of lunch ..

	Once we'd been around the outside area we headed in to look at the main open air bit. The cars are actually pretty tightly packed, I'm not sure what kind of insane Jenga/Tetris like game they need to play if you want to go for a test drive. Given the awkward angles and the number of people also having a look around it was a little tricky to get good photos, but here is what I managed. My particular favourite in here was this Ferrari 308 GT4 in the best colour combo I've ever seen. We had a quick trip outside again to see if there was anything interesting floating around in the car park, not much (other than a whole bunch of Porsches) Then back inside for a cup of tea (green) and lunch (pizza), which I do not currently have a picture of, but my erstwhile companion Henry does take photos of food, so I've requested that, just for completions sake. One thing I didn't touch on was the glass storage which has some really really rare stuff in it. Including this: Which I'm going to leave here as a challenge for people to find out more (I may do a thread on it specifically as it is pretty interesting). Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
