Went along to this event yesterday with a few mates, the weather was perfect and there was plenty to see so I took a few photos
I believe this was Collecting Cars' inaugural Coffee Run meet/show, it was held at Bicester Heritage and while the show was limited to the main hangar and the field areas it had much the feel of one of Bicesters own Scrambles. Entry was free which probably helped contribute to the 4000 odd cars that were there!
In the main hangar were a few trade stands, Mission motorsport had a stand, as did Alpine (new A110 models only), some kids ride on Porsche 917K toy cars for the price of a cheap Cayman.. There were also a selection of VW Golfs to celebrate 50 years of the model, one for each generation.
Outside of the Hangar were some of the more exclusive cars, there was an RWB 911, a Tornado GT40 with proper cross plies and lumpy cam that had me thinking it was a real one, but my gaze was initially drawn to this F355
Dark Blue, with the cream interior, perfect in my eyes. There was a Viper parked up next to a BMW 3.0 CSL, both slightly mad looking cars in their own way, I apparently only took a picture of the V10
We took some time ogling over an incredibly clean BMW E39 touring which had enough M5 touches to make us think that it may have been S62 swapped, even if it was "just" a 540i manual it would have been a lovely thing. However next to it was this Aston Martin Volante with an "interesting" wheel treatment
I believe they were 285 section front and rear, and looked odd. I assumed someone had made a square set of wheels using 4 rears, but did they even come with splits from factory?..
But if we're going to talk dish, you can't beat a Koenig Specials
At this point we were into the sort of general parking, there was a Porsche owners club area which we didn't really bother looking around as there were a lot of Porsches about, but there was a good mix of stuff on show
Modified Ferrari's seem to be popular at the moment
US spec AE86 apparently belonged to a youtuber who had seemingly driven it over from Spain
Had much want for this immaculate XJ40 XJR
Think I only took a pic of this GT86 because the kit makes it look like it's got a big mouth
Spent a bit of time watching cars start to leave, before gathering for a quick pic of our cars/vans (minus a Morris Minor Traveller which joined after)
Couple of the guys actually work for one of the companies on site so we went and had a quick look around a very cool ADVAN liveried E30 M3 that had raced in Japan and was in for some preparation work before doing some form of racing here. I forgot to take any photos though!
All in all a decent event, not sure how frequent they're going to be but I'd go again
