Alas, I have sold my Morris 2200 to free up some cash for a possible Narrowboat project, and wanted something I could "not care about" and be comfortable leaving in lay-bys near towpaths and such. It also needed a ton of space to haul tools, building materials, marine diesel engines and that kind of fun stuff.
Running some searches on the market it looks like, for the price I was looking for, it was this or a Volvo 940 estate. My partner is 5' and has never been able to drive old Volvos comfortably... so.
I've accidentally bought an SUV, and I hate SUVs.
First thing to do will be a full service including the gearbox and differential oil, and then turning it into an estate rather than a SUV!

Nice acquisition! I've always liked these old CRVs, bookmarked for the progress.

This was my one. I loved it Wish I'd been able to find a green one, and an auto tbh. The manuals are lower geared to the tune of about 500rpm at 70mph.
Edit for MOAR PICS.

My boss has a couple of CRVs in his fleet. They do everything he needs them to do.

Polished the headlights and soldered some resistors back onto the digital clock circuit on Sunday. Absolutely buggered my lower back stooping over the headlights bracing a drill on them. I never learn.
Productive but age/body-neglect keeps catching up with me (picutres when I am able to walk again).

They're fab wee things. You dodged a bullet with a manual as the autos are absolutely woeful. Still got the table in the boot? They're actually worth about the same money as the rest of the car these days.

Only broken or missing things I've found is the rear O/S door won't open and the fuse box cover is snapped off.
I've just replaced the rear sidelights/brakes with LEDs the light output was pitiful but it's still not great. Wondering if there is a dodgy earth that is shared between multiple light circuits as they return through the loom rather than earthing into the housings.

Adjustable Coilovers are on - although weirdly this is how it looks with the front set the minimum height and the rear to maximum height. The front damper is too long so I have emailed the company, YouTube videos suggests this is not uncommon. The lads at the Marlborough Auto Haus were a great help as I've not done such modern suspension before.

Agreed but I need to wait for the shorter dampers to arrive from China and figure out how deperately I'll need camber-adjustable upper wishbones.
Believe it or not the coilovers are the "expensive" model Maxspeedingrods do and the ride is remarkably comfy and assured at half damper stiffness. The factory thickness ARBs do a great job of keeping it flat around bends - it does not handle like it looks it should. The car feels like a bit of a contradiction being a psuedo-SUV... that redlines at 7k and is easy to VTEC swap.
Yes, I blasted some early 2000s drum and bass in it yesterday to fully own the Honda powered midlife crisis.
