Not exactly a Retro Car, ut instead a Retro driver instead. I was lucky enough to be in Monaco at the weekend, and was distracted by the delight of a Ferrari Daytona SP3 (a mere snip at $2.3 million each). This eye-wateringly expensive car (with Swiss Plates) was driven into the Casino area and several members of the public has selfies with the driver. I recognise him, and believe he's a former F1 driver, but because he's a lot older now, I can't place him. Can anyone identify him? It's been bugging me since I saw him... He's the older guy in the middle! Thanks in advance PS I will upload some pics from the trip in due course.

They're not Swiss plates - they're Czech.

My first thought was Derick Warwick, but I'm not sure, so I'll stick with it anyway. Have a free retro car incase I'm wrong.

Google Lens suggests it's Mario Andretti, which might be true

Google Lens suggests it's Mario Andretti, which might be true Mario's 83. I know he looks good for his age, but I'd say this chap is mid to late 60s. He seemed pretty well-known though. I'm not convinced!

Deffo not Lawrence Stroll. He owns Aston Martin and races against Ferrari, so you wouldn't see him in a Ferrari.

Sure as hell looks like him, and he has a MASSIVE Ferrari collection If you Google "Lawrence Stroll Ferrari" you get: "Stroll has a large car collection mostly consisting of Ferraris, including a 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO, a 1958 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, and a 1967 Ferrari 330 P4."

If that's not Andretti and the car has Czech plates it might be the owner of an old racecar that was once seen on the Autobahn. And / or the Czech who drove a bugatti at 400+ km/h on an Autobahn near Wolfsburg. link

Nah, Stroll is an ugly mf. That guy is way better looking.

I have spoken to a friend who's in the know, and he's stumped, so he's asking his motorsport pals if they know.
I found some more info out about the car - it was purchased in April 2023, registered in Prague, but is kept in Provence. I am guessing that the owner lives in Monaco, presumably due to some sort of tax "arrangement". And the colour is Rosso Ferrari F1-75 apparently! But I still don't know who's driving it...
