Hi all,
Have a straight 6 Opel engine I want to run on carbs but with electronic ignition. Any recommendations to run without a dizzy?

Omex 200 and DTA T2i will both do single coil for 6 cylinder, you'll still need fixed distributor just to send the spark to each cylinder, the ecu will do the advance/retard for engine load using tps/map.
DTA T4 can use a wasted spark coil like a Ford 6 cylinder unit, though at that point as it'll run the whole engine you might as well run the whole engine!
Omex 710 will do 6 cylinder sequential as it has 6 coil outputs, their 600 ecu only has 2.

A megajolt will run it, I've used them on a couple of engines seem reliable.

What's the reason for not wanting to run a dizzy?
Some Opel 6 pot engines need the dizzy shaft retained to drive the oil pump from memory
H&H ignition solutions converted my 24V C30SE dizzy to electronic swing dizzy with bob weight advance/retard as a stand alone no EMS required - worked really well

As this is evolving I’ve looked at H&H as a way to go too.

As this is evolving I’ve looked at H&H as a way to go too. A mate did that with a 3.0 CIH engine - Ford coil pack(s) Big valve head from later gold top, 2.6 dual ram induction with solid fuel rail and modern injectors, Mass AFM instead of flappy unit all running on megasquirt etc He had to cut up the dizzy to then put a bearing in a fabricated cap to support the shaft - leaked a bit and I think the bearing didn't get a lot of lube I'd converted my C30SE to run on triple sidedrafts and was using the std ECU to control the ignition but it didn't like not seeing the injection element (limp home settings for ignition) so after initially thinking of going down the megajolt route and a coil pack (Oil pump not driven by the dizzy on the 24V engine) I decided it was just quicker and easier to go with the existing hall sensor in the dizzy and get H&H to add suitable advance bob weights for the spec of my engine (he actually went with 2.0 fast road red top weight settings) and an amplifier unit - was really simple to wire in and I could remove all the ECU wiring
