Looks good to me.
I’d have just saved time by not doing it. 😉
But then, my Land-Rover has only had door seals for the last couple of years; I managed 27 without. 🤣

Have you found a source for the rear window?

I have to say Grizz, I truly admire your patience with this. Had it been me doing the vinyl work, I'm embarrassed to say that we would've awoken to a pile of smoldering Canta this morning! Thanks mate. I would not set it alight, but it is frustrating at times. Historically I would not give up, but sometimes it is a sensible move, as you actually gain nothing by persevering.

Glen is no fool, but he is possibly better at prioritising stuff than some of us, me…. There you go.

Have you found a source for the rear window? Not made much effort except for askin the guys in the Netherlands. I may have a caravan window that will be just fine, the doors’ side sliders are Perspex, so I am sure it will be fine, if executed well, or else some custom cut plant glass. But I suspect you are happy driving it just like that.

This is what a €1500.00 Canta looks like.

Seems like a fair chunk of cash for something so scruffy. But, that is where the market, and the demand is. Lots of people fighting for not very many cars. Or at least, more buyers than cars for sale.
Not sure you’d find a quick sale for yours even in Holland though, given that it’s RHD and has a bigger engine than Dutch rules allow. I’d imagine over there it would break for parts pretty easily though.

The big thing in Holland is sky-high road tax for cars and limited access to city centers, as well as parking space. So if you live in the city, and don't venture out far, the Canta is ideal for low-budget driving. Hence they are quite sought after I think.

I’d imagine over there it would break for parts pretty easily though. glenanderson you know my prices usually are akin to giving stuff away, in fact, often I just prefer to give away things, with a warning, to avoid any hassle. What this does show, is that regardless of condition, as dieselmax mentions too, the aspects of car/transport ownership in Holland, fo some is a lot more complex and critical than over here. Also, maybe dieselmax will tell us just how potentially strict the Dutch system is, I know The Doctor has mentioned issues before. So it may be an impossible import, or, being the size and what it is, that less heed is paid, including the engine size. 200cc upgrades are quite commonly done. Watchout grizz ! he's talkin' the price down ! I am aware Tony, and listening. Every tyre kick, the price rises by 5% Watchout grizz ! he's talkin' the price down ! Shhhhhhh! 🤣 Glen and I know each other well enough that the Shhhhhhh! Is part of our regular routine. So if you live in the city, and don't venture out far, the Canta is ideal for low-budget driving. Hence they are quite sought after I think. Correct. I am amazed at many Cantas/Cantii having 20-30k km and making good money at between €2500-5000 I guess supply and demand. And any of the new Canta type cars are 20k or more. Not made much effort except for askin the guys in the Netherlands. Hey Rob M no problem. I often look at build threads and make no comment because I have nothing of value to add except admiration and awe. Sometimes I say nothing, because silence is an answer in itself. 😉 Even I have to laugh at this little turd bundle. Weirdly, I still like it, as much as when I discovered and bought it. But it does frustrate, and I am not giving it 💯 If glenanderson or craigrk (who has first dibs by a day or so) came and collected it tomorrow, I would feel I failed to finish what I had started, but it would mean that I was able to get onto the next exciting build, or whatever.

Canta was short changed and gets no video today. I heard a collective sigh of relief there. Spent some time doing yard work, throwing balls and took the Rezin Rockit for a decent drive. Yard work included weeding, mowing lawns and chatting with this guy. I always feel so privileged to have a variety of creatures in the garden. Headed out in the Rezin Rockit…….. Then came home by 3.00pm. Checked the Rezin Rockit over to see if anything had fallen off on the drive. All there. Then found my left over window tinting from the S10 truck side glass, or Not a Project Blazer, or Prozac the Berlingo, I cannot recall. But there was enough to measure and cut for the Canta side small glass. The doors have horribly worn Perspex sliding screens. Cut to size, and also cut a strip that I will try to fit as a sun screen on the front glass. Before. After. Faaaar from perfect, but somehow fools the eyes when you look inside past the badly fitting body panels and glass. The hairy bum Supervisor on standby of course. And the other side done. This is miles from spectacular, but it is another minor improvement, maybe. More tomorrow. .
