Hi all,
Got a strange one I can't really work out, not sure if anyone else has experienced it either.
I've got a mk1 Cavalier I've been restoring. 1980 plate, been off the road since 1997. I have a new V5 in my name last August, and I had a full check done on it, never scrapped, salvaged, stolen etc. etc. Was first registered in the UK, so it's not an import issue or something.
I can find it on the .gov reg and MOT checks, has no digital MOT history but the system recognises the plate, but when contacting any insurance companies, and as of this morning the MOT garage I'm booking it into for tomorrow, none of them can find it on their systems.
Is this just because it's been off the road for so long? I've never had this happen before so I'm not sure why this would be the case.
Cheers.
