This is fantastic to watch, could you show how you bond the panels back together, I am planning on tweeking some bits of my bond, your advice would be greatly appreciated. Dan

Impressive work, the changes on the nose alone have altered the vibe of the car.

Bonding alone will not help as it will only survive temporary. So pieces are bond first with a heavy fiberglas reinforced filler. Its only to get the shape right, later it has to be fibreglased inside and outside to fix the panel. So it will be heavy but can be still used as a car. Later i will do molds from the car and build normal lightweight panels from

To be honest iam not that fan of the 3 GTO vents, but with the small mouth they are important for cooling the engine. Iam as well not the biggest fan of long nosed cars, so made it short, for me a nice looking design. My partner disagreed, its not about what i like, it should look close to the original , so a longer nose is needed. So the front had to be redone.... marked what had to go...

shortly after it looked like this remembered me to a version Drogo did in the late 60s with a GTO that had a accident, for me the best looking one off all. asked if it woulnd be nicer to go in that direction, closing the 3 vents and bild a short nose with wide grill?

decission was done, a Speciale is the target, so maybe later when having time i will do a second version Drogo styled for me..... First rial about longer front... that size will be the best to use the stupid big german licence plate not hitting the ground and still not blocking the air with the plate looks already long, but the original had a nose like this

problem i have now i can only reduce the hight of the bonnet about 25mm, otherwise the radiator and the height of the engine will create a problem. For the Speciale they used a dry sump engine to place the engine as low as possible, thats why the hood could be that low Next the engine is mounted as much rear as possible, loosing space inside the car was no problem for a race car....

reshaping the hight of the bonnet to get a flat nose profile will be the task for next year.
but enough for 2022!
