Front hood is laminated now together Tried at the same step to correct the width at the sill area, hope the hood will not step outside the sills like it was before  |

small update Bonnet cured over weekend, turned back and testfit on the body  |

time is over now to test with dummy parts and gaskets, real work with details starting now, first working on the surrounding surfaces, next to sort out shape of the 3 vents   made a mistake , inner area of vents is a little to short, don't like to see the end of the vents  so i have to modify the inner edges a little pit, curse word happens, will be done now when i correct the round areas to be equal on all 3 vents Working on the surfaes and shape of the left front wing will follow |

maybe it don't look like but for me a its a big step
Have now all areas roughly, starting to modify each area and implement the details
for me hard time with thinking how to arrange things to get the look i want is nearly over
Allways nice to work having the real shape in your hand and not with a image only in your head
will post now not everything i will do, makes no sense to show five versions from 1 thing till iam happy with.
so starting with a item and how it looks after will be posted

Thats quite the transformation from start til current shape  I'd never have the patience or skill to form fiberglass or filler to that standard (or that quickly!) Can't wait to see the rear screen works next 👌 |

Its a mix between passion, patience and a trained eye for lines
Only have to bring everything in line to get harmonic proportions.
My skills are limited as well, its the 3 Body i do now, maybe skilled people working on car bodies since decades are smiling about but thats for me the easy way to correct things.
Important is only you never give up and even boring jobs have to be done do get a proper shape

would like to explain what i mean with : i will not post everything in future... Correcting now the height and after the profile of the lhd front wing Nearly not possible to see on the pictures, but have to do to get 2 frontwings with same shape and size  is i told before iam not a fan of the 3 vents at the nose area, for me they are only big ugly holes so i change them now a little bit Outer dimension will stay, but the inside will be smaller and lifted up about 30 mm  now they are a little bit more dezent, helping to improve the elegant shape of the car. from far away they make the difference , middle area is already new, the other ones will follow  don't know if someone aggree, but for my kind of taste a nice improvement |

today the 3 vents are modified and looking good now Played with the templates to find the position for the foglights and brake vent  For my taste the shape is coming nice now, so i will freeze it and start with all the missing details and fine shaping  happy wth the side/front view now as well  Shape peforms much better than expected, even not a fan from that much openings in the front it looks like a nice tribute to that icon from the 60s |

I like it a lot. The smaller scoops are definitely much better. I imagine it's just the colour of the filler, but it looks like it's a different shape side to side where the arrow shows.  |

Have been watching progress on this and full of admiration for watch you are doing.
All the subtle changes and adjustments are really making this seem much more balanced.

both front wings have to be finished, will use the nicer upper line from the left and the contur to the hood from the right one
But thats easy, only work to do and nothing new to design

Today was drilling and cutting day Working to open brake for vents and fog lights  all holes now open, look is coming closer and closer to the Original  have to work now on the edges, will keep me busy for a while, inner sides are really deep and i would like to build mine deep as well  |

should look approx like this, even the proportions are different because of the height of the Z3 i think all in all its not looking to far away from the original  |

Looks like you have a nicer curve to the front of the car than the Ferrari does. I think yours flows better.

Thats clear for me, inspiration or the tribute to the Specale is llready there, for the rest i will try to shape the car as harmonic as possible. Even the Original has some areas not looking perfect and a little strange, will avoid to copy that. Couple of changes already done to get more harmonic lines to the higher build Z3 mechanics Working on the holes will keep me busy a couple of days, so i made only pictures from the whole car, showing the new lines already very clear   Have to change the line of the left front wing asap after finishing the holes, but anyhow....   |

have to smile a little bit about your opinion!
Thinking the same, much cleaner look, more elegant without!
don't know why the owner is in love to that strange scoop, anyhow try to build the scoop more decent so the harmonic lines will not be destroyed to much. The original has a real ugly kind of scoop!
