some of you will remember this car , featured in retroford magazine many moons ago, built by a good friend of mines , when I decided to sell my cosworth i knew i had to have this . when I went to look at it for the first time in years collection day Actually seen it on this site for sale , I thougt it had been sold and gone down south witch bummed me out as ive always loved this car , its actually the only corsair ive ever seen in real life , none on the road up here that ive seen apart from this one when it was cossie powered many moons ago. plans are a mazda mx5 engine with 5 speed box, turbo , posh interior and paint , run it as low as humanly possible and enjoy it

Cool project. How much does the Corsair share with the MK2 Cortina? I see so many similarities, but they may be just that.

Cool project. How much does the Corsair share with the MK2 Cortina? I see so many similarities, but they may be just that. From what I know, the Corsair share the underpinnings, floorpan (although lengthened slightly) and I think the roof with the mk1 Cortina. The mk2 Cortina lower section is similar to the mk1, so I’d say they are close relatives but not a lot interchangeable

Is this the one I used to regularly see around Culter? Loved it then, still love it now.

Looking good. Always thought these were cool looking things in need of a more exciting engine.
