Does this count? Simple. Built a carport with the intent to be able to lift and move stuff. Roller came from Nigel Alpina99 Works wonders.

Tools don't have to be fancy to get the job done, although a lathe and welder are a big help! Hub extractor for changing Omega rear wheel bearings: Made out of Scrapbinium Tm and snotted together on the car, so no precision was wasted. Works a treat, and has done at least five different cars. I also made a jig for repairing the diff mounts, which have been NLA for years: And a tool for undoing the propeller on a Stinson:

Some good stuff everyone. I took a screenshot of this cam shaft lock tool someone had come up with. Not tried it myself but looks like it would work

it's not made of metal or anything but i did construct a suitably sturdy workbench during 2020 lockdown. Looks good, it doesn't matter what tools or equipment is made off, its all about giving other people ideas ect. Work bench looks nice and strong 💪

Been fiddling with a big old bandsaw I’ve had for years. It is/was a meat saw and was way too fast to cut steel. Just burnt the teeth of the blade. So I had to gear it down ( a lot ) to make it work on steel. That involved a lot of work with aluminium. Made one large pulley ( about 320mm ) by cutting a circle and a strip from 5mm plate. Roll the strip to the diameter of the circle. Cast several blanks to make hub and other, smaller pulleys. Weld a hub to the plate circle and true it up in the lathe. Weld rolled strip to outside and turn to form a vee groove. Weld is extremely ugly mainly because of lack of ability. Also right at the limit of my welder capacity. Also in the photo is one of the small pulleys made from the previous castings. Used an old bike wheel as a pulley. Filled the bead well with epoxy. All the brackets bolted into place. The whole contraption. And the saw Bought a roll of bimetal sawblade and made up a few - tig welded. Works a treat.

Not really a home made tool but a useful tip. I had a socket holder that was magnetic. I cut the back of it and the magnet now holds my angle grinder spanners some chuck keys ect.

Well i have had my welding wires in some 40 ish mm waste pipe. The end was just a block of wood with some holes cut in to slot the pipes in. Well the wood kept falling off so i ordered some end caps. Some of the pipe i have seems to be bigger than 41mm, so i had to turn the caps down. Glued ends on the pipes so the wires have a proper base. I plan to get some inline joints and cut the pipes down. Glue 1 end of the inline connector to the longer pipe. The shorter pipe will have a cap glued on. Therefore i should be able to cover the complete wires from dust ect.

Many things in my workshop have been built by myself, including the workshop. Swing out pillar drill stand
Welding trolly
Welding table. Made from an ikea table frame, 1inch mdf top with a 3mm steel sheet ontop Also made a blasting cabinet that runs off my pressure pot. To name a few things

Some good tools and workshop ideas. I have made a bit more progress on my Tig welding rod storage idea. I have now cut the pipes down by 8". The 8" part has an end cap glued on to it. I machined 1 end of a straight connector so the 8" part slipped in and out with out much effort. I then glued the straight connector on to the longer pipe. I hope this makes sense. Just need to get some more straight connectors to finish the other pipes.
