Finished and fitted the passenger skirt, peace and prosperity is restored in the world. Also managed to snag some rev counter clocks so letβs hope they plug in and work the same as the ones in mine! Cheers!

I know your on a budget, but I had ultralite RFP1 reps on my Cooper S and they were really nice quality - weighed about 50% less than the factory alloys too. Ask Nath as he fitted them lol. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185504686730

Theyβre Β£100 and hopefully collecting tomorrow ππ» I did buy those alleycats but the seller is an absolute whopper and I had to call him out to even get a response after heβd not even posted them 10 days later, then proceeded to chuck every excuse under the Sun at it too, mug π€¦π»ββοΈ

Hi all, bit more progress made on both cars recently. Got let down on the previous wheels I was set to buy but managed to find these 13x7 et0 minitlites in 4x100. They were at the Scottish border but the guy was even nice enough to meet me half way in Darlington. Theyβre tatty but weβre the right money so theyβll do perfect for the Volvo. The Nissan is also booked in for the bonnet painting professionally as itβs always been an eyesore since I got the car, it was never as bad back then I think something has dripped onto the direct gloss paint thatβs been used in Japan and ruined it. But the roof was really bad and sun damaged in its own, couldnβt warrant the prices I was getting back plus having to have the original glass out and the broken clips for all the trim that where bound to break so I decided to have a go at tackling/tarting that up myself. I bought some proper sheet, 2k epoxy in case I broke through to bare metal, base coat and 2k clear, all in rattle cans. Hereβs the roof before Found a stone chip thatβd started to rust a little and the tiniest bit of surface where it looks like a targa top had rubbed. Got those sanded completely (more than in the pics) Then got them spot primed, knocked that all back and masked up properly Tried to take my time and do it as logically as I thought, Iβm no pro painter at all but have painted a few small bits along the years, hereβs the ends result which Iβm chuffed with but Iβll still give it an 8/10. Left it to cure for a day and back outside in the sunshine at home, one job ticked off the list at least. Thanks!

Stunning work on the Nissan there, Considering it's "rattle canned" I think you're being a little hard only giving it 8/10, I'd go for more, Beautiful car, Nigel

I think because of my detailing mindset Iβm always really critical of the quality of work Iβm doing or I get from somewhere else. Itβs certainly a lot better than it was before but if I had to do something similar again Iβd know where to improve I think ππ»

While weβre in productivity Pete mode I thought id chuck the wheels on the Volvo and take the tyres off the 3 spokes ready to sell them. Kept the 185/60 on the back which are a smidge too wide and scrub by like 1mm! I Iβll roll the arches slightly anyway just to be extra sure but will match the 165/65 on the front with the rear for that extra clearance. Much more fitting with the vibe of the car I think Also have been working on a rear lip/valence which is actually a vertex back bumper off an s14a this time, needs some more trimming but Iβve got a rough idea where itβs going now too. Thanks!

Hi all, Few updates on both cars, finally got a bit of time to stick the rev counter clocks and steering wheel in the Volvo. Much better position for driving and a 20mm smaller wheel so feels great now especially with the seats in there. I also managed to grab another raid hp super snap off for it cheap of fb marketplace so over the moon with that too. Think it really makes a difference to deter potential tom foolery. Rev counter added where the clock used to be, all working sound and also managed to secure the speedo cable better so thatβs improved too and not bouncing about I also dropped the Nissan off for the bonnet painted last Monday, got it back a couple days ago and hereβs how itβs looking now that eyesore has gone. Looking 10x tidier now the the roof smartened up and the bonnet painted properly. Going to take it to as many shows as possible this summer and then ceramic coat the panels thatve had paint before it comes off the road for winter. cheers!

That Nissan is really a beautiful looking car,
l have to say I've never really taken to three spoke wheels but your car has converted me, stunning doesn't even begin to describe it,
If it doesn't come away from the shows you're going to take it to with awards there's no justice !!
