No advisories mot pass today, and when I got home I fitted the oem 18” wheels and tyres on This car drives so well and the underbody is excellent so well happy now I’ll be using it for the work commute  |

More news on George’s Range Rover The suspension shat itself , the usual airbag problems so he sold it on to rangie enthusiast Then we spent a few weeks looking for replacement for him Managed to find this low mileage C240 in outstanding condition with newly refurbished wheels and full history I’m now a tad jealous 😁, absolutely stunning little car  |

So that’s the first full week of using the S type I’ve done the 32 mile round trip to work in complete luxury And I’m now convinced I should of bought one a few years ago when I had the chance This car is without doubt a well built old motor I read up on the net and listened to a few people with opinions on these A mixed bag they were either superb or a minefield I'm really not bothered in taking a punt at such a realistic price It drives absolutely perfect and I’m impressed with the fuel consumption it’s done less than my 2.0 zetec Mondeo does on the work run Ok so it’s low mileage for its age , but I’m sure there are plenty of good high milers out there still going strong Oh and the rot thing I was warned to of in the sills and inner sills, absolutely no rust anywhere on this one at all I would definitely recommend buying one if your after cheap luxury motoring The X300 is a great old jag, but I think I prefer the S type now I’ve had both   |

This week a new front fog light arrived for the Mondeo Two weeks late , Royal Mail who personally I think are doing the wrong thing striking at Xmas , but that’s an argument for another day Got on this morning and fitted the replacement light The old one had broken open allowing the bulb holder to fall out and flap about under the front bumper Easy job with no seized fixings so all good now and front fogs now fully operational Was hoping to change the oil and filter on the Jaguar but my castrol order arrived next day via Amazon But why did I order a filter via eBay  Doh five days and still somewhere in the Royal Mail system     |

That is a big assed car.
I think you need something a lot smaller next to the Jaaag.
Sell the Mondeo to a new Ford guy and get something small.

I still think you are in charge of too many decent cars Dan.
Sell the Mondeo to someone who can enjoy a decent classic with supreme comfort.
Then stash the cash till summer and buy some random piece of automotive history to enjoy.
Or an ex post office van and make it good, the way you know you can.
Or sell the Jag (just joking, I know you love it.)

The day before I picked up the jag The old chap I bought it from scrapped the passenger front door on his driveway wall As I’d placed a deposit I payed the agreed price, the car was cheap enough and the family were lovely people the man said give me £100 less, I wouldn’t do that out of respect , I like to treat people well it always comes around for you in the end So this week I had a mobile paint repair person out to the house The man spent five hours here and done an absolutely superb job, these people can do great things now with top class equipment The car only needs a new bonnet badge now and she’s perfect   |
