Make it look better then sell it. On. Can I have some of this magic please sir. I often tease Dan and George about their cars and the Carousel of Cars. But I also understand it. My S10 was and still is my most desired bucket list car/truck. Even when I got the 66 C10 it was on my horizon, but there was never the right car at the price I was prepared to pay. If today someone walked onto my driveway and wanted to buy the S10 at the right price, it would be gone and the money back in the bank for an hour, a day, a week, hell, 6 months, till the right next car came along. Remember that unloved Ford Pinto I lusted for recently, case in point. I would have bought it and stored it for future reference, but fortunately it was sold when I called the owner. Dan is like a crow, if it twinkles, he takes note, he always has his eyes open. And you know what, I think that if someone is prepared to put the graft in, then why not. He has sold cars he later regretted, as have I, my 63 Transit being one, but life goes on. I say good for them both. PS. Not everyone likes the Benzes and some even say they are not really retro, but as much as I like Micras, Fiestas and other cheap fodder in the retro scene, sometimes a change of pace is refreshing. I like wagons, imagine one of these in wagon shape lowered a bit, and then given the race car livery look with a set of interesting wheels from a different make, even banded steels in black or white. Different is good.

I was looking for some normal or low level modified cars. But Google mainly has balls to the wall race cars or pensioner spec cars. Dare George to do this with his car. Quick AND EASY.

I love W202's and have had several myself includig an Esprit estate. Currently waiting in the wings for recommissioning is a 1986 C180. One previous owner, 80k genuine miles and immaculate inside. Unfortunatelu a large tree branch fell on the boot lid in the recent storms we had. Not much damage but very annoying. It needs the fuel pump replacing (again!). Old petrol has gummed up two of them. At least their cheap! Not yet sure if I'm going to do anything with it or just sell it on. Although my daughter has had her eyes on it. Its personal taste I know, but I much prefer the one at standard ride height to the lowered one. To me some cars when lowered just look like the suspesion is knackered. I think the SLK wheels suit the car better than the three spokes too. They just look right on it. My current summer dailey CLK shares a lot of mechanical parts with the C-Class making it an extremely affordable car to run.

I think that looks nice and suttle Not to low and looking good with the wheels.
Plates look cool too. I feel I need/want one of these in my life. Although they don’t look as nice without the Dan treatment.
Keep up the great work mate. Single-handedly your keeping the classic car movement going. Lol

Here's mine just for reference Dan after lowering it and it was lower that a stock version being a Sport. I used 30mm Eibachs, Koni Yellows and No 3 spring pads . The wheels are 8x16's.

Looking good ^^^^ Managed to get on this morning fitting the front springs The spring compression tool is easy to use and safer than the ford ones I’ve used Also stripped the front grille down and sprayed the insert black And then went of for a test drive Drives as smoothly as ever , I prefer these to my lowered old fords

Sure looks good. Did George pick up a puncture along the way?
I do like the look of them both with different subtle flavours.
Well done
