With the deal done, i needed to get it back home. With work being really busy i didnt really have the time/inclination to hire a transporter so i called mate Al who said he could collect in 2 days time and coincedently was taking a Falcon wagon down to Richard Alders for some work, which is just down the road from me. He would go on to collect mine and then back. I had that "kid in a sweet shop" excitement bubbling away all day, eagerly awaiting his text to say it was loaded and he was on his way, but i knew the old boy would like to chat to Al for a while....and chat is what he did! I think Al arrived at about 10:30 which is way past my bedtime as my 2 young kids get up stupidly early! It had some torque thrusts on it but the tyres wouldn't hold air so the seller put some 15's that he had lying around on it, but the tyres were way too big so it wouldn't roll very well or steer at all so we had to get Als truck lined up pretty well to get it straight off. Any way here it is as we unloaded it. And a plug for AL

BOOOOOOMMMMM.....!
Congrats, and I so get that kid in a sweetie shop feeling.
Having had two of them last year with the Rezin Rockit and my S10 getting here, though in different ways.
Really pleased for you getting a car so many of us like and would happily have.

Nice looking falcon Enbloc where was the pic taken? Funny story that too! North Weald airfield during a sprint last year. The Falcon wagon that Als Truckin' was moving is my dads, lol. Small world.

There's a guy local to my work got one of these with a hot 347 Ford and 5 speed in it. Gives it absolute death everywhere, exactly how I wish everybody who owned big V8 Yanks drove. I’m Gunna guess that’s John? He showed me round it the other week when I dropped some bits off.

It seems I know most of the people mentioned in this thread😂
It was Al who moved my 34 cab back to mine, and has picked up a few from here too.
One day everyone will realise that 60-65 flacons are the best post-60 Ford product made. They’re a usable size day to day, and are basically a mustang with out the pretentiousness.

No idea, guy at work said it had a 347 in when I'd mentioned it, can tell its a 5 speed and I see it banging up and down Balby Road a couple of times a week so guessed local lol.

Really pleased for you getting a car so many of us like and would happily have. BAMMMMM! (as in freiburger/Dulcheck!)Thanks for that. Glad youve had that feeling recently too!Nice looking falcon Enbloc where was the pic taken? Funny story that too! North Weald airfield during a sprint last year. The Falcon wagon that Als Truckin' was moving is my dads, lol. Small world. I think i need to have a look at some of these events once I'm ready. The penny has dropped now, thought id recognised your name from another forum. Youve got the rather lovely 36. It seems I know most of the people mentioned in this thread😂 It was Al who moved my 34 cab back to mine, and has picked up a few from here too. Yep, i like to think this is one that will stay, don't see too many of them around and for me thats a good thing.

I'd go 351W/408ci stroker personally. They make some pretty stout numbers.

Ive not done any homework yet and ive got to keep my feet firmly on the ground with this, but I'm listening to anyone who has opinions. I wont have loads of spare money to throw at it so its going to have to be on a bit of a budget I'm afraid. I think if i could realistically achieve a bit over 300ish, that would be good for me......famous last words!!

I guess that means its probably going to be limited to heads and a cam - i have no idea what this can achieve to be honest so any sbf experts please chime in. Its a 302 and 4 speed.

For 300bhp China is king. Pair of el cheapo ally heads and a decent cam will see that.

Have a look here for added POWERRRRRR Richard knows how stuff. Love this - worked with a guy called Tony who had a Falcon Sprint converted to auto as his retirement present. Dez is right - one of the better blue oval products of the 60's P.

I'd be a little careful with the super cheap Ebay cylinder heads.
A buddy of mine is a engine builder, and he has seen examples where they lasted one single 1/4 mile pass.
If it looks like its too good to be true, it probably is...

If it looks like its too good to be true, it probably is... Agreed. But the GT40 heads TFS1 cam and Explorer intake will get you to 300hp easy and best of all can all probably be picked up for less than $500. Only issue is getting it back to the UK.... P.

A colleague here in New Zealand runs a 302 with 289 heads in his XD Falcon. Goes very hard for what it is. Have you considered using a modern six cylinder turbo charged engine such as the Barra? It has been widely reported that the later Aussie XR6T Falcons can be made to go considerably harder than the equivalent XR8.

igor #BARRATHEWORLD! A fine motor (and cheap when pulled out of a territory) but being Aussie built would have to be imported to the UK and parts availability presumably lacking over there too. (also shhh before everyone starts driving prices up on them! Lol) This looks like a great buy, looking forward to following progress.
