For a couple of years now, ive been lurking on those nice boxy volvo`s. To be more specific, the 700/900 series in estate form. But for some reason it was never meant to be.
My dad and I like to look at what fun cars are around for sale. I think both of us have a little itch to scratch when it comes to classic or unusual cars. At some point, he started sending me advertisements, and we would have a chat about this or that.
One day, he sent an advertisement for a 740 estate…
And I thought, why not? I had been looking at these for such a long time now. And I was finally in a position where I could take on another project.
Besides, I was sick and tired when I have to do repairs on my boring Chevrolet 2008 Chevrolet… I thought that at least this would be fun wrenching on. And I wouldn't feel like throwing money in a hole, when I was spending it on a fun car.
I had a chat with the seller and he sent me a couple of more pictures of the car. So I obviously bought it.. Bought without viewing it first (yeah, I know…) from a danish island called Bornholm. And I had it shipped all the way to Northjutland. Where I sat patiently waiting.
Now this is one of the more shady deals I have done, so to be honest I was not quite sure that I would actually receive a car.
But sure enough, one day I had just sat down and opened a book, when I saw a two tier car transporter, just sticking over the fence to the garden. And at the back of it, was my new old car...
It felt like Christmas. The Driver was curios why I wanted such an old wreck..
I'm hoping its going to turn into a nice practical daily driver. Goal is to have it ready by the end of the year. As far as I can tell, its been stood for 5 years. The seller thought I just needed brakes done and I would be good to go again. I'm crossing my fingers, it wont be rotten, which I do not have the tools to repair..
2.3l fuel injected.
386.802 KM
I have absolutely no idea, what the “Business Edition” comes with of equipment that makes it business.. If anyone know I would really like to know too.
Where do you guys jack these up and where to put the axle stands?
