Pulled out the rear shock today, started stripping it, this was the condition of the oil in it Turns out to be fubar, with seized adjusters and a crusty damper rod Now waiting for the bay to supply a replacement. So carried on and stripped out the swinging arm, will be giving that a few gallons of looking at Ttfn Glenn

Mot fail time, took the little zontes for its mot test, failed for no front sidelight, loose chain and cush drive, quick flurry of spanner twirling saw the sprocket tightened and the chain adjusted, just waiting for eBay to deliver a correct headlight Still need to finish scrubbing the household gloss off the tank. The zontes was retested and put up for sale with a fresh mot. The orange suzuki in the middle was next to get tested, passed and also put up for sale. Sold within 2 hours !!!!!! With all these bike projects have always fancied a hydraulic lift table, a very lucky spot on marketplace saw me snagging this little beauty Ttfn Glenn

Today the zontes 125 sold, new owner was planning to ride it home, seeing him wobble around the road, struggle to change gear and nearly fall off when stopping at the end of the road, both him and the bike were loaded into fungus the bogeyvan and delivered safely home. Son with a wedge of cash burning a hole in his pocket, promptly found his next toy A cbr600f3, very tidy condition with 11 months mot? Fork seals leaking with rusty fork tubes, so this joins the to be worked on list Ttfn Glenn

Since we had a rare sunny day up here, had the bikes out for a bit of a ride around the yard Then since son doesn't yet have a full bike licence, decided to start pulling his new toy apart Note he has swiped my lift table to do it! Bike is in good condition overall but has had a Bob Ross restoration, where rusty spots on the frame have been brushed over with silver paint, no prep, no primer just brushed on silver, only in places you can see, wire brushing has started, will get treated once the grot is removed. Slowly making progress with the zx9r, finally got the front wheel and forks removed, next will need to remove the yokes and bars, hopefully will then get around to soda blasting the frame and engine Ttfn Glenn

Managed to get the frame and engine soda blasted, so gave them a covering of etch primer Also gave the tank and tail piece some primer and top coat, will need a few more coats and finishing with some lacquer Waiting for some seals to arrive and I can rebuild the forks Ttfn Glenn

Got some more done on the paintwork Classic style but have some major runs in the clear coat that will need to be buffed out. The fork seals arrived, so the forks got stripped, cleaned and rebuilt, yet again the oil was filthy and yet again I managed to spill it on the floor, cat litter comes to the rescue yet again for soaking up spills Ttfn Glenn

Did a mockup of the subframe and seat, using the fuel tank to get it aligned. Son also decided he fancied the look of the subframe and tail for his cbr1000, so got mocked up on that also Ttfn Glenn

Got the forks and front wheel back in, set up the subframe so I could mark out and drill the mounting holes in the alloy adaptor plates, went old school getting everything aligned Used a builders string and gravity to match things up. Did a final mock up of all the bodywork to see that it was following my planned direction Now it's time to pull it apart again and do all the paint and bodywork, replace the missing and lost bolts, may have to replace the left fork leg, as found some damage I hadn't noticed previously Ttfn Glenn

Another Cheap 125 joins the insanity, only 4 years old but suffering corrosion in the wiring, Every connection is rotten, leaking fork seals, one joining the cue for being worked on, current priorities are the gpz500 for mot, and sold, then getting the AJS finished and on the road Ttfn Glenn

Instead of pulling it down, I decided to fully slave build the zx9r, And give it a few runs up and down the yard, misfire below 3k, then all hell breaks loose, and it turns into a complete animal, front brake feels wooden, rear only just about works, the electrics for the lights all work, so now I can pull it down for finishing Ttfn Glenn

Little bit of a play tonight, motor turns over but wiring loom is a disaster, hopefully will get to give it a proper looking at tomorrow. Spark plugs for the zx9r arrived, so will try to get around to fitting them Ttfn Glenn

Fitted new plugs to thezx9r, but most time was taken up with the cbr1000f wiring, lots of corrosion in the joins, switches and fusebox, Not forgetting lots of chok blok connectors Eventually got it sparking, then running, but only on carb cleaner, so another session of strip and ultrasound was needed, son volunteered to do the stripping, so I took some pictures of the horrors within Parts are currently vibrating in some suds, so will see if they can be rescued Ttfn Glenn
