Finally got some tyres for the 16 inch wheels that have been refurbed Falken ZE310 Ecorun 235/60 16 100W Demon Tweeks who I had made an enquiry to in Jan alerted me to the fact they had now had access to the 4 I needed if I placed the order today £400 Of course I did Next jobs in order 1. Dump the water masquerading as coolant 2. Replace the last 3 hoses that are as old as the car 3. Refresh coolant with 6L of BMW Antifreeze and deionised water 4. Replace wiper blades (ordered today from BMW) they passed but aren't great 5. Replace the brake fluid - 8 years old 6. Recharge the AC 7. Fit tyres when they arrive to refurbished rims And I think that's it................

I've deduced from the lack of car pictures for the last week it must be in primer by now. Another week and BMW Heritage come to collect.

It appears DVLA Records are up to date Lets see if I can remove the plate and assign it to another car without issue

Did that on my Dad's car last year, and was immediate. Got notified of the new plate by e-mail on return. Mum had initials VAG, so did not fancy driving round in a car with reg K9VAG...... Its still for sale on ebay as no-one other than my parents want to drive round with that number plate

"Lady of the Bong" is a little over active right now - I've always lived with the tyre pressure monitoring error at start but right now I have 1. Handbrake "Bong" 2. Tyre Pressure Monitoring "Bong" 3. Number plate light "Bong" 4. Door open "Bong" If I was anything other than a nice person I'd disconnect the bong 1. is a sticky cable or adjustment required I think 2. I might see if Will can code it out 3. is obvious replace the bulbs 4. I think a sticky door switch - my suspicions are drivers side rear. Oh and the fuel computer is telling me 7.1 MPG average and instantaneous - so that needs a kick

Fuel computer fixed with a reset all values - time and date set as well Now to change the number plates - well remove my plate and then spend all evening in the garage searching for the original plates - give up and order a new set from the internet

Now to change the number plates - well remove my plate and then spend all evening in the garage searching for the original plates - give up and order a new set from the internet Don’t worry. You’ll find them as soon as you’ve ordered a new set and then you can include a spare pair in the sale.

But I found them saved me £22 so that's good right Annoyingly they aren't the original dealer plates - I think at some stage they were replaced during a reg transfer after it's previous private plates but hey ho they are the ones that I got with the car back in 2006
