Thank you all for the kind words, and sorry for the slowness in putting up more pics. CRAZY weekend, a long time & a load of effort in the make, but all now totally worth it. The first time I saw it with my own eyes.. Loading up: Heading home: Massive thanks to Colonelk for driving the truck, though I think you had almost as fun a day as I did Back at TAB: A long but completely awesome day. Waking the next morning to find a Lincoln Continental parked next door was a pretty surreal experience.. My Goddess, who has been to TAB maybe 3 times ever, could not wait to come see it. I think she likes. Plans for now? Full service, probably a good bit of undersealing, wait for the DVLA to do whatever they need to do, then not a lot really. I bought a full set of weather striping to come with it (which cost 6 x as much as my current daily, LOL) so I'll fit all that, then just drive it about really. I need to finish my W124, and sell somewhere between 3 & 6 more cars. Air & 20's can wait til next year

When I was doing my apprenticeship at a Ford dealer the owner had a convertible one of these in Black. Had more options and gadgets than a fully loaded Granada Ghia X and was supremely comfortable. Did killer burn outs as well..... P.

Stat.Rep.: NOVA done, tax & duties confirmed as all paid, V55/5 dispatched this morning.
Why are the DVLA so obtuse? And who still uses cheques?!
Here's hoping for a quick turnaround! Would love to take it to the Boxing Day cruise, should such a thing happen this year..

I've done a V55/5 and V62 since first lockdown. Based on that experience, I'd say expect a 6-8 week turnaround until the V5 is in your hands.
With both of mine the V5 was sent to me several weeks before they cashed the cheques. Seems to be a thing at the moment, so you'll need to keep credit in your account for 3-4 weeks after you get the V5.

I did the import paperwork on my e31 a few weeks back and it did take the 6/7 weeks for the V5 but i got the import paperwork docs through after about 3 or 4 weeks saying the reg etc... so you could be OK

Most excellent purchasing skills.
Your thread has continued to inspire me and a new project looks to be on the cards for me as well!
Not as exciting, but also something that I've wanted to own for about 17 years!

I had that out & running last weekend, moving things around to make space for the Lincoln. Still makes me laugh like an idiot every time
