Have just installed fresh coil springs onto my Pao project and haven't been able to get them to run straight between the top and bottom seats. They 'bow' noticably although aren't fouling on anything. In trying to figure this out I saw the replacement's spring ends are a slightly different orientation to those that came off - old were opposite sides looking down on the spring, new are perhaps 45 degrees different rather than 180.
Funnily enough I've never done coils before! Only torsion bars and leaves. Should I be worrying about this and/or sending the springs back?

Depends on what they sit like with the car on it's wheels, post a pic if you can.

Can you rotate the spring cup round so they sit in the right place?

Thanks for the replies both.
I don't think I can adjust the seat as they're not flat but are shaped to accept the end of the coil.
Off the car, below, difficult to shoot on the car as they fit high into the wheel arch.

Looking at those pics I wouldn't worry about it, the way you were talking I expected a bannana! You'll probably find that they "square up" with the weight of the car on them.
