Hi, here is another of my Volvo P1800 coupes.
This one is a very rare, early car, 1964 and has the early features and bumpers etc.
It is actualy a very good and solid shell. It will need a bit of welding, but nothing major- and as I see it it wants more tidying-up welding than anything- just to make it into a real nice example.
Its a very honest car, and to be fair it actualy looks better in real life- the photos don't do the car justice enough.
The engine was running a year or so ago with a jerry can, a 'borrowed' battery and hot wired.
I do have another decent and complete engine here too- that I could potentialy throw in aswell....
The car is complete to my knowledge.
The interior is tatty, I do have seats here plus a couple of spare seats too. I think I may well have brand new seat covers somewhere as well.
The car needs some welding and tidying up, then its straight in for paint and re assemble basicaly.
These are lovely cars to work on and to drive- I didnt realy want to sell, but am pushed for space.
I have no keys for the car, but can easily get some cut from code- there is a decent supplier on eBay, and cheap too.
It has sat in a dry barn since the late '80's from what the previous owner told me. The original logbook and keys was lost when the original owner past. But I do have a few bits of paperwork- including a recent letter from the Volvo Club, they had seen the car and cross-referanced the reg, chassis and vin numbers etc.
I have been in contact with them, and after a second inspection by them they can help in terms of re-applying for the v5.
