Rev #9 - that Blue Bay Van had what looked like quite a serious engine indeed!
I bloody know it had an engine, I'm kidding because in the pic you don't see much of it, and the bloke kneeling down seems to have something profound to say about it I wasn't implying anything!

I kinda figured you knew it had a motor.... but all I was saying was that it was not your average bay window lump....
oooo 160 at the wheels(didn't read that bit sorry) , lol, and 150 is the standard power that vw say it has, but u can ask any vw dealer and owner and they will tell u that u can get anything from 150bhp to 175bhp from the standard engine. they all come out of vw at different powers. mine did 165bhp on one set of rollers, but 170bhp on another set of rollers. but one set of rollers may have been out, not sure which. or just the air temp may have changed it.

(all at the fly)
The difference in the power figures you quote are also quite likely to be because flywheel power outputs measured on a rolling road are just not accurate. They can be best described as being little more than a guesstimate. Rolling roads are great for measuring power at the wheels (and for setting up engines), but for accurate flyweel outputs, you need to take the engine out and run it on a dynamometer.
