Excellent News....is V pleased? Igor it's around 4 times as much land as i expected . ..and is well loaded with barnosity. and Phil , yes , she was most excited as we crept ever so slowly to exchange , the laws in the this country regarding buying and selling houses baffle her , and she can't work out how we haven all gone insane . THIS…………. I cannot get my head around the buying rules/laws in this country. Coming from a country where a real verbal contract can be binding. And certainly, an offer to buy is binding. Yes, I feel for the delightful V. |

Glad you got sorted out eventually.
Up here (Scotland) the rules/laws are different (for the better IMO), because of that chains are pretty rare and sales are normally completed in one or two months

indeed crockmiester , i started this process in early 2020 , accepted offer on my hs sep 2020 ,my offer accepted on a farm march 21 , but my buyers faffed about and changed mortgages , so that farm pulled out and sold 7 days after i completed on my sale .... finally sold sep 21 ,then found this hs , the 3rd farm i had gone for , in march 22 , and now mine on monday 13th june 22 .

found drip from some hep2 pipe
ring main upstairs switched off , and sockets undone ,searching for short ?
tried to adjust ball cock in toilet ..snapped off in hands , switched off water supply to stop geyser ...off to plumbers for new 1800's ball cock lever ...

EXCHANGED  Having lived in rented accommodation for 14 years, we exchanged in August last year and moved at the end of September. I really can appreciate all the pent-up emotion and relief embodied in that single capitalised word!!!! Fantastic news!!! |

Excellent news. We moved two years ago and it was the most colossal ball ache. Saw a house. Put offer in on house. Offer accepted on house. Sold our house. Three times! (Including to an utter helmet who had his own very similar house up for sale two streets away - just wanted ours off the market while his was up!) Lost our new house, but blessing in disguise as the drive didn't actually belong to the house! Found another new house and finally moved in during lockdown with no removals company and no way of fitting a LWB Sprinter up the drive!
I'm never moving again. We're not having any more kids because there aren't any more bedrooms, and I'm really never moving again!

excavated the hay shed ,more space than i realised ..  so far fixed cistern , two bath leaks one ring main , one to go stripped loads of 1930 wallpaper etc etc . |
