Been doing a lot of grinding today , getting some of the brackets/bit off that have been welded to the original chassis over the years, that ment i could put the N/S inner wing back on to see if i need to cut it for the new front arms, I don't but need to fill the hole where a bit has gone missing, Also started to modify the dog house , to clear the top of the engine , and cut off some old truck mirror brackets from the doors, while listening to The Doors, funnily enough

Got a hub , top arm turns out to be nearly the right length/size to , hopefully knock up some brackets tomorrow and some nylon bushes for the top arms, I can tack them on then and start doing some more measuring to set the bag bracket height etc , I want it low "aired out" but not to hit the floor if i blow a bag or something and want the normal driving height to be in the middle range of the bag, if that make sense , Also have some brought some pneumatic fittings and a 5 way valve to use for now to get the front up and down while testing it all, I've done a quick measure of the old front beam too and looks like I could also do a bit of machining and make some king pins and use the Iveco hubs on the beam if i have to with a leaf and bag set up ,

Scrub line is very important. Its the lowest part of the vehicle that needs to clear when you get total suspension failure plus a double blowout! Bump-stops are your friend. Keep up the good work!

Love these
Good progress so far and loving the idea of an airplane Inspired rear
I’m on a lambretta Forum and an ex raf guy has built a shed like the back of a Hercules
Flap down rear door/ramp , ribbed interior and an aircraft door in the curved side body
I think it’s going to look fantastic and love a low COE anyway camper body is a big plus
Another thread bookmarked

my new wheel turned up yesterday, Had to make the slot a bit bigger for the 12mm elbow fitting in the top bag mount, need to mod the top ball joint mounting to and also 45 the arms , the centre of the rim is where it needs to be in the arch though so not all bad , need to order a tyre now , thinking 225 or 215/75 off road M/S type will look kool under there

That is a beautiful wheel you have sourced.
Love the chunky nuts you are using, and the pressed recess around the slots really make it interesting.
Looking forward to the time when you can get rubber on it, and fit it at ride height.

Sorry for the lack of updates but been super busy finishing off a house for my mother to move into, I have been amassing some parts though ready for when I can start again , hopefully in a few weeks time, It now has a new generic hotrod loom, a 70's CB with PA , air horn's with proper pull chain, every truck needs these 2 items, all waiting to be fitted , I forgot I did make this the other week to The old hardboard sun visor was snapped in half, so found some nice green tinted perspex and made a new one , also cleaned it all up and greased it all so it actually works now to,

Not bad, re-iterating on the body width- you'll be "in keeping" all the way up to 96 inches wide (not counting mirrors), which is the Federal maximum width, since '56.
Texaco had a bunch of fuel tankers that had a nice side profile, and match the deco look of the cab.
