Hello everyone!
Been a long time lurker on here and decided to start a thread on my most recent purchase....

39k miles and only 2 previous owners with the first being from new until 2014. I wasn’t in the market for a breadvan and had actually tried to contact a local elderly lady who had one sat on her drive for years. Unfortunately it’s going to be left for a few more years to rot 😢. I then saw this one for sale that someone had spotted and decided to go have a look.

Even had an original first aid kit with it 😄

It was in lovely condition for being 31 year old. It’s starting to go in a few places but nothing terminal.... YET. I struck up a deal and had the car picked up the following week....
A few pics when it arrived at its new home.

Quick jump start and it started on the button 👍🏼

Came with all the service history etc and was very well cared for when in use. It hasn’t seen the road since 2016 so will need a full service, engine sounded sweet the few times it has been started and warms up no bother.
The usual rust spots I had heard about were relatively intact. The Fuel filler neck and battery tray being the main ones. The fuel filler neck will require attention but is still solid and the battery tray had been plated up by the previous owner. There is a small patch that might need welding in on the o/s rear sill but other than that it appears to be surface corrosion.
I think plans for now are to remove the rear end and engine and give it all a good clean. I’m still undecided whether or not to fit a 1.4 16V out of a later 6N or keep her completely original.
I’ll try to update this thread as often as I can, but will be a bit of a slow one.
