Hi,this is my build of my 67 Cortina 2 door.I imported from Finland,so is left hand drive.Have stripped car to bare shell, done any welding needing doing to chassis and floors, which was very little, car is in amazing condition.I am getting rid of the leaf springs and using a four link ive made up with Gaz coilovers, and Ford focus antiroll bar.Have made the gearbox tunnel bigger using a capri tunnel,to except my MT75 gearbox, and fitted a 2.0 l Zetec ,keeping the standard fuel injection.I am using capri front struts with adjustable bottom arms and compression struts, focus front antiroll bar, with escort rack and pinion steering.Have now fitted a right hand drive dash, and moved pedal box (which is a bias adjustable box) Thats all for now, cheers

Nice mk2. The Scandinavian shells are a lot better starting point than the UK ones when it comes to rust. I’ll be following this build.

Yeah, apparently the cars that come from the north of Finland are the most rust free,as they don’t salt the roads, because the raindeer come out of the forest to lick the salt off the road and cause Accidents😂

That is in very good condition. Looks like your using compression struts on the front.

What size is that rear anti roll bar? It looks huge. I think it will oversteer like a pig with that on.
Car looks mint by the way.

It’s a standard focus rear anti roll bar,it’s hollow tube so not to stiff.

Amazing work.
I was just showing Sally the underside work, saying that is madness doing that sort of work, then she reminded me, that I did it with the C10 as well, complete chassis strip down and cab off work.
One forgets soon the hard work that goes in.
Looking forward to the progress you make over winter.

Great work nice subtle mods will be nice when done.
Can I ask will you be fitting a strut brace across the rear top shocker mounts or have you already re enforced that area to save you punching through or deforming the rear tubs now you have ditched the leaf springs for Coil overs?

When I built my mk2, I made a strut brace that obviously tied the top of the strut towers, but the brace went back towards the centre of the heater bowl, mounted to a plate bolted thru the said heater bowl, I was really impressed with how it stiffened up the front end
